Left seat I assume, you may be OK. I 'm guessing MSP and MEM will get hit hardest.

Nope going to the right seat, VD'd from the ER, but I had a change of plans and am hoping to get on something else besides the 9. If I can pull it off, great, if not, oh well, I bid it and will live with it.

The TSA agent at the security checkpoint still can't have you surrender your certificate. They have to get the FAA to do it.

I doubt the TSA agent running the machine will be the person instructing the FAA to do it either. I'm sure they are talking about thins that go deeper than you just acting a little weird at security.

Blue,
What you state was the intent of the ruling. The issue was that it was quite vague.
I agree that it is not intended for security screeners to use, but they have a power there that most do not realize. Hence the reason I made the point.

In case you haven't been paying attention, CVG has been in "trouble" with or without the merger. It just isn't able to support the traffic. I believe this would have happened without the merger.

Very true. I have been flying through CVG often over the last three years. The decline has been obvious, even before the merger was announced/became reality. The grand CVG RJ plan blew up. It can't sustain itself. Great airport, great people, just not part of the plan now. Especially in this economy.

I get what your saying. The way it is written allows for them to define on a case by case basis what a security threat is. Then when you appeal, you don't know what they used to come to their conclusions.

Yep, and because of this 2003 ruling I find it better to be very respectful to all of the TSA folks. I have seen the get the "Pack Mentality" very quickly when someone creates a scene. No reason to test a ruling.

The intent was an FYI. I figured most knew about that 2003 change.

Yep, DAL has coined the last great hope in the form of a RJ expansion to save a hub. MCO, DFW, CVG, and now MEM. Any time you see RJ's expanding after mainline has left, start watching their feet.
