Bummer man. I knew this, as I was afraid to YS anything before I knew what obligations I'd have. Last month I had the same thing happen, except I was able to catch the last flight.

Now I have a question.

If I'm on my last Non-flying day & they assign me SC(I agknowledge it) but before 1500 LBT they call me with a YS trip then I have to accept, yes? The change come before 1500.

Now, if they call AFTER 1500 on my last Non Fly day, then I'm only required to be available during my SC period, yes?

Discuss...... :p

Before 1500, you gotta do it.

After 1500, it's a proffer and your responsibility falls to your long call window or your SC window, whichever is shorter.

It's calculated by days available.

If your vacation takes up 7 days, then you have 24 days available in april. The amount of days you have to be on reserve (available to the company... your carry in will count) out of that is derived in the contract.

It's stupid, retarded, and needs to be fixed.... but that's how it is for now. That's one of the biggies on the wishlist for reserves....

It's my understanding that your x days for the month will be prorated. The bad thing about having a carry over trip from a regular month to a reserve month is that your 37.34 goes towards your reserve guarantee.

And I carry in 4 days so I have 20 days available... so does that mean I sit RSV for 8 days? thx Lenny

Well I checked my Sked after 1500 LBT, & my SC was still there so I acknowledged it with a sulky click of the mouse.

On my way to the airport I decided to check my sked again, & suprise....a 4 day with a 1300 report showed up. I acknowledged it now & headed back home, I'll commute in tomorrow. :)

I just accepted it now because I know they could have just called me in the morning during my SC window & given it to me then. It is one leg that finishes just inside 12 hours from the beginning of my SC so I was going to get the trip either way, right? I didn't just commit myself to working when I didn't have too, did I? :o

No. You actually saved yourself from getting the call in the SC window and jumping through your ass to get ready to fly. I like the fact that they post the trip in advance. I've had similar experiences recently.

Ah that just works out to be a early heads up for your short callout. I love it when they do that! *technically* you're still supposed to be available for your short window as long as it's still on your sched... but well, I would have done the same thing. :)

Quick question: Several bulletins ago, there was some verbiage about will preparation services.

I can't find the bulletin. Would someone be kind enough to repost the information of pm me (if you don't think anyone else is interested)?

Thanks!
