Please explain. I guess I'm not reading in between the lines as well as I should?

ACL,

Thanks - I know the total number was much higher than I posted, but I was speicifically talking about Pre-merger DAL south DCI pilots and also trying to allow for some COMAIR and ASA pilots (to account for the 50 seaters) so it would be a valid comparison regarding Sailingfun's Work rule anaysis on pre-merger DAL.

It appears to me we lost a lot of jobs to both work rules and outsourcing.

ASA has 1700~ pilots alone. OH was near that before they shrunk, I am sure that it may be a conservative number but it is the one that I was told about a year and a half ago.

By the way, I don't want ANYONE to forget about when we had furloughs out there, the Communist Air pilots refused to give our guys preferential hiring stating that they didn't want our jobs anyway and didn't need any kind of flow through agreement. Let us never forget that.

Waves, trying to PM you. Wassup? No PM's?

I have always wondered why they did that.

Arrogance and blind obedience and allegiance to a guy named JC Lawson and his minions on the MEC.

Not sure if he commutes to JFK now but there was a LCA over there named Joe Underwood. When the initial 400 guys were getting the boot in Nov. '01, he posted on the national ALPA forums:

"Hope you guys have fun working at Home Depot while I take your jobs on the 70 seater."

Never forgot that utter slap and contempt shown to his fellow "brothers". Anyone doing the NYC-CVG flights should keep his name in mind. I'd love to personally meet him.

DAL;
I know who did it and why. It was just incredibly short sighted. Almost 10 years later our guys are still very upset about this. In my opinion this will never fade in to the noise.

I wasn't even here at Delta then and I think of it every time I get on a Comair RJ.

As do I. When this occurred, I could not believe it. I was quite happy that ASA hired a bunch of DAL guys and gals.
