Ok. Great! Oil is at 86.15 pbbl today and rising. We have well over 50% of the year to go. I don't have a Harvard mba, but I see where this is going already!

My comments of the AS code are not my opinion might I remind you, they are the business case for the code share. With a company like DAL in debt where it is, we need to pay it down and in the process bower from peter to pay paul. I am sure as the day is long that jet will not get parked, it is going somewhere else. Would I prefer to buy more jet, heck yeah, but they will never let a guy like me anywhere near the bank of this place :D As for the last comment, trust me my views on scope have made people quite irritated. Seeing DCI triple in size while DAL cut for over half a decade is more than enough to turn anyone's stomach. |

The raked wing tips on the 777 and 767-400 have about the same effect as winglets on a traditional wing design. The raked design coupled with the increase in span is more effective at reducing drag (disrupting vortices) and increasing performance than a winglet.

You want to know why we do not own the west coast and Alaska does then I'll state the obvious, because neither Delta or NWA owned it prior to the merger and that sucks for us. But if someone can come up with a way to take over the west coast I'm sure folks would love to hear it. |

Guess the old NWA hand baggage scanners etc don't run on SAP either eh?
Kidding just kidding..........T put DOWN the keyboard:D You and I can bust our butts (I usually don't but I could :) )to make it a good flight but it means nothing when your bags don't make it in time for your cruise or you're washing your underwear in the hotel sink before your business meeting. |

so I'm curious, who do you think is cheering this situation? I've not heard anyone do anything or infer in any way that they're happy about the Alaska situation.

I've always wondered why Boeing went with a winglet for the 763ER as opposed to the raked tip which was already on the 764ER? They are essentially the same wing, no?

Just talked to Angie in the JFK CPO and everything DTW-Europe is cancelled and probably all Northern Europe flying. All airports in Ireland and the UK are closed as well as France, AMS, and BRU. Does anyone have a good website to go to to look at the volcanic ash cloud?

I've got an idea. Feed OUR OWN passengers into Seattle and LA and stop outsourcing to Alaska. "The market is too saturated"..blah blah blah. If that's the case, why dont we outsource to Jetblue on the east coast since the Florida to NY market seems pretty damn saturated as well.
Given the Alaska Marketing agreement in section one, the solution that also poses issues is a merger. Other than that, do you think that you are going to buy the company off on this deal? Not likely. Push for a percentage of that revenue. Push for limits on the code. Those are ways to solve that. I do not like them taking more of our flying, just like you. Go read their agreement in our section one, and offer solutions! |
