Kind of wierd that we can't file a grievance on our own, but I'm sure it's set that way for a reason. My guess is to filter BS grievances & things that can be resolved otherwise. This saves resources. JMO

The pay thing us kind of a PITA, but I've adjusted. Getting it changed is NOT high on my list.

I'm also a couple trips into the new W&B, & I'm kind of digging it. It uploads way more info in the box then NWA's system did. Also, no fuel reasonableness check. All I have to do I'd make sure we are w/in the 1000 LBS pad. Plus, I don't have to make multiple requests for runway #'s because it gives me all runways in use. :)

A LCA also told me today that they are planning on giving us the V-Speeds auto uplink again, as well as connecting gate info access. NWA used a different ACARS vendor, so they had to initially turn it off. Another thing that's neat is for landing data it's so much simpler. Just use the TOLD cards, & if you have more then 6000 ft of uncontaminated, dry runway you're good.

Also, he repeated what others have said from the RA LCA briefings.

65 MD-90's is the goal, & the Saudi MD-90's are a possibility.

All 757/767's will be out of the desert for next years flying.

Revenue/bookings are rebounding much more quickly then anticipated.

Squeezing Boeing.....everybody knows why.

Good point Denny. With one exception.
The scope grievance that was kept secret from the pilots.

Not many liked the "settlement" that Moak came up with allowing more 76 seaters.

Lets see the result of the Special MEC meeting before that point is set in stone. Let your reps decide if these are worth the fight.

What ya wanna bet it's defeated along "party lines":eek:

I beleive the action since then is indicated on today's Hotline from C44. Look at the top of it. They are telling you about a MEC event that occurred today, and what was discussed. They are also telling you the seven days (as the policy manual states) prior to the Special MEC meeting to call your reps and or provide input.

That my friends is progress.

The new Council 44 reps are indeed a breath of fresh air.

THAT explains it! Don't tell the fleet, but I left the diddleysquat blank in the box too. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh;)

On an up note......I commuted home in a 55xx 757 with a shinny new Delta paint job:cool:
