I believe CPZ uses worldflight... that could be the reason for the renewal. However, I sure wouldn't mind changing over to worldflight. I miss the efficiency of the presentation.
If we could keep AWABS(I don't miss MGL one bit...), pick up worldflight, and modify our ACARS, I'd be one happy camper in that arena. As far as the 757, my last trip before 737 class is tomorrow. :( Gonna miss this airplane... |
Nu,
I agree. I think everyone from flight ops to inflight to DALPA is starting to see that 40% is too large to be absorbed and therefore you can't use the old Pan Am playbook. But, I think we will be a better company down the road after the smoke clears. I keep telling myself that this time next year I'll be wondering what the big deal was. |

I kinda agree, with my 4 legs of using AWABS..........it does seem to be a little more straight forward. For sure more straight forward using REAL AWABS vs the hybrid we saw for several months using MGL in a Delta ACARS. But, can anyone tell me WHY the system can't give us all 5 numbers vs 3 then doing the Rube Goldberg +40 +80 thing? You know they are in a computer somewhere because they were used in the flipcharts for Xweight.
Don't worry Clamp my son, you'll be back..........I'll keep the seat warm:cool: Your Uncle Ferd It has to do with printer width, I believe. Always been that way since I've been on the airplane... just go to the App ref page and do the 40 and 80. They actually had to take out and additional charachter on top of that on AWABS for width to fit on the fNW printers. PKOF now magically became POF, haha. I'm interested to see the way on the tech renewal stuff goes. I def plan on bidding back to the plane as soon as practical... finishing off with a nice 7.5 hr Caribbean turn tomorrow. :) |

Have fun on the 737, 80. I think I have to get ftb's permission to leave the -9 and I don't think that's happening.
The only way ftb will let you leave the 9 is if we take delivery of B-36's. I hear they are a great fit for the Pacific cargo operation. :) |
It is a great jet, no doubt about that.....

I think what we've been going through the last few months are the birthing pains of the new culture of DL. I'm sure there will be some more to come. Those who desperately try to hang on to the old way of doing things I believe will be dissapointed on both sides of the fence. BTW- for DTW guys: No Rio Wraps anymore? What the heck??? |
