Mesaba/Compass pilots who flow up to DAL start at the bottom of the seniority list just like new hires. No credit of any kind for longevity. So you have nothing to worry about.

What happens with the few of us who are active employees but in a different department?

All the political cronies are from Chicago. Watch UAL/CAL fly through the approval process.
How about those HND slots? My bet is AMR/UAL see action on those as well.

Well there you go. Hiring and LGA this week :D Told you it was going to be a busy week...

Now we just need to have a few more things come out. I am glad they opted to bring guys in starting now. We really need them for the summer flying.

If hired as a pilot you will be a intra company transfer and be the most senior pilot in the class with no regard to your last four of your ssn.

You maintain your old seniority date for passes only. All benefits from the PWA start as of your date of hire as a pilot. On the seniority list, you will be shown as being hired on the date you start as a pilot.

With all of this talk of working "very closely" with Alaska I could see us covering some of their mainland flights out of SEA with 320's while they continue to take over Hawaii from various cities from the west coast with their ETOPS 737's.
