Lucky you. I have about a 500 batting average with getting called out on SC. Most of the time it is for a three or four day trip.

Hi ACL,

I've got a buddy that was invited to interview, but a few days before he was supposed to go, all interviewing/hiring was canceled. He says he got an email saying that the group would be first to be considered again when hiring resumed. That was in 2008 (I think) though, and the email's tone was pretty much "don't call us, we'll call you". Any ideas on how these guys might be handled?

Just like you state. Past practice was to send another letter out.Wait and see. Get your suf in order, and be ready. Some were given a few weeks.

Quick fact: In 2008, Ray LaHood secured $60 Million in earmarks for his district, and of that $60 Million, $9 Million went directly to his campaign donors. Not saying there is a connection, but it does seem strange that only SWA makes the grade for a slot divestiture:rolleyes:

Or AMR's favored status with JAL per LaHood. Or that UAL/CAL headquarters will be kept in Chicago. It does help to have sway with the players. Apparently the Georgia/Minnesota/New York connection doesn't go far right now. Interesting that not even the New York Senators could help sway LaHood. He either has way more power than I thought, or he's way far out on his leash right now. We will find out.
