Your kidding, SEA junior? I really don't see that.

Yeah. Just looking at the B side.

It is also looking like MD88A MSP is set to go very junior.

Atlanta's looking very, very, senior.

I stand corrected. I'm a line holder as of now if you only count the 1st pref people.

Yeah, from looking at the bids for First Officers it appears the f-NWA bases are going to go very junior, even the great bases like SEA. I never thought I could hold the 767 in Seattle, but apparently it is there for the taking. What a good deal.

Not many guys flocking into MSP or DTW are there. I bet the ER in SEA has about the same seniority as the 330. The count pilots bidding link in icrew has more guys senior to me bidding for the ER than there are for the 330 which indicates it will be senior.

Not sure what you are looking at to find the info. I am SR to you and it is showing 250+ pilots senior to me bidding the SEA ER base. I do hope though that the former NWA bases go junior, I mean way junior. I mean it is almost June and I am pretty sure there is still ice on the lakes :) Why would anyone one to come north...

Having had only one crack at this AE how good of a job does that function do in projecting what really happens? i would love to have some kind of info I could use to plan a move.

I'd count the 2nd and possibly the third prefs also. Most guys probably have the 330 in as their first pref so add the first pref 330 and the first pref ER and that is more likely the number of guys senior to you that will get the ER.

satchip 05-16-2010 07:09 PM

How long would it take to get the category up and running? SEA ER that is.

satchip 05-16-2010 07:11 PM

Counting 2nd and 3rd knocks me out of the running. I did put a md pref at 65% for the heck of it. Thanks Bar, you just dorked up a good nights sleep!

Pretty much no good. If a guy puts in his "wish list" then the function does no good. I could put in 330 A, 7ER A, 330 B, then SLC 320B. I know I will never get the first three prefs and will most likely get the 4th. If a guy junior to me looks at that function for the SLC 320 B position it won't reflect what will really happen because I put in the first three choices of which I know won't happen. If you look at the total number of guys senior to you bidding for the 330 and compare that to the total number of guys bidding for the ER, it gives you an idea of where it MAY fall compared to the 330. More guys senior to me are bidding for the ER than the 330 which leads me to believe it will be at least equal in seniority to the 330.

Urban myth. Happened to me about two weeks ago...to a non-base trip where the FO went sick half-way through the trip. DH'd to Minny to pick the trip up. All in all, not bad.

... and it really does no good if a lot of pilots are forced into mandatory displacements.
