It's usually out within a day or two. The last bid they waited until the 1st of Jan so they could have a 365 day conversion window. They are usually out much quicker than the last one we had.

put i in the first space.. so iFK on the slot that you want to put the new preference in. Should clear that spot and move everything down one.

Super, It may have been missed but the key to making this all legal was posted by FTB. The requirement for a 24hr period off in 7 days (these are calendar days) is a "flight time" limitation.

If you are not flying there is no limitation. Being on call for RES is not a flight time limit. It is also not part of your duty time limit. It is however considered non rest when looking back for the at least 8 hr in 24.

Consider this, a management pilot can work a 4 day trip and then work 5 days in the office (not that they ever would ;-). This is also considered non rest but not duty or flight duty but before that pilot could operate as PIC or SIC they must have 24 hrs off.

There is nothing preventing a pilot from being on RES assignment for any number of days, or an entire month for that matter, barring contractual requirements so long as prior to a operating flight leg that pilot has 24 hrs off in 7 and at least 8 hours in the last 24 for domestic flight. In this example that pilot could be DHD without the 24 hrs off as long as he/she received 24 hrs once in position after the DHD.

This has been the case for many years with multiple FAA rulings backing it up.

Remember you are always in one of three catagories:
Rest
Flight Duty
Other = (Non rest, res, training, other company obligation, etc)

The only one of these three that requires you to be legal per FAR 121.471 is Flight Duty. The FAA could care less about what you do during other, at least for now.
