YouTube - United Express Nose Flared way to much tail almost touch

Former fighter pilot trying to relive the glory days or just a really crappy flare?

"I'm behind on energy.. I'm just gonna pull back harder. Why is the yoke vibrating?"

I emailed crew planning last week asking when they were thinking about opening up the category. Their answer was August or September. The 22D2 report on the crew resources page lists 112 captains and 153 FO's as the projection for November 2010.

Bear Trace (Nicklaus designed) is at Tims Ford State Park in Winchester, Tax Evader TN. Nice Course was there this past weekend. They have about 30 cabins too that are pretty available and reasonable if you want to make a week of it. Great countryside.

Speakin of Tax Evader TN, the world's largest outdoor music festival - Bonaroo - Starts June 11 im Manchester TN - I've been the past three years and it is the modern day woodstock, just better planned.

I just got back from a couple days golfing and fishing in the Brainerd-Lakes area in Northern MN. Played Dutch's Legacy at Cragun's (RTJ design) and Deacon's Lodge (Arnold Palmer design) in 90 degree heat and 25mph winds, and I've never had more fun.

For those of you golfers about to be displaced to MSP, there are only a few places in the country better for golf and fishing, I promise. Well, for at least the 6 weeks when the ground is thawed. Only New can shoot under par in the snow.

LOST is over, 24 is over, Simon gets it and is leaving American Idol, but here we are, getting closer and closer to 40,000 posts and another football season a possible summer of greenslip bonanza on every fleet but ATL88B, 80 is about to be done with 73 training, and New is here and rumors are Carl Spackler will return- which means we're going to go on strong!

Who am I kidding... ya'll are just here for the PWA talk mixed in with hiring news, ACL musings, SWA bashing and pictures of hot chicks with raging hormones crowded all on top of each other...

Okay, in honor of American Idol and the fact I just got SC for tomorrow, I'm going to do this one pic for Satch.

You see a couple of years ago when Satan, I mean Saban was new at Alabama they were very pitiful. They lost to LA-Monroe of all teams right before Auburn whacked them for like the 6th time in a row I think. And there was this Alabama blog that I'd hurry to go read just to enjoy their pain but it was funny, every time they lost the blogger would put up a picture of Katherine McPhee to make his fellow Roll Tiders feel better.

So here you go Satch:

Too bad you have to be a NewK, or a NewK knock-off like Tom Selleck, to get a McPhee.

That theory works if you actually know what you are talking about and they readily admit it. Outside if that, which is usually the reality, a Ken Watts is nice to have in your corner.

However, a good contract admin guy does have his place. But you choose the adversarial path first, I do not. I guess we must agree to disagree. The last word is yours.

So let's separate the issues.

I'm arguing that it's always a good idea for pilots to be informed. I've had excellent luck with our schedulers, and overall the system has worked very well. But that's bound to be put to the test with the merger, and additional newhires. So the fact remains that the foundation to good contract enforcement is informed pilots.

None of this relates to the other point, the plug for Ken Watts, and his presumably superior grievance management.

We still have a culture where we can get resolution on irregularities that occur by picking up the phone. So this isn't about the path for solving violations, the strategy for solving them, or the people. That's all in place. It's really about identifying violations, IMO.
