Anyone else get a call for a greenslip to MCI at 1 am on the 88b. 4 hrs of pay on reserve to do a turn to MCI at 2 am? I think not!!

What's up with our reserve system? For the third time in a row, I've got the highest or second highest raw score, same number of available days, and I get called out? What am I missing here?

Not yet. They've got to sift through the furlough recall bypass guys first. There are a few hundred on furlough bypass that will be written to/called first. Then they'll know how many slots are available.

Some times it is because the guys ahead of you are just getting back from trips. so in theory they are not available.... but are still on reserves.
check next time you get back from trip you will be on there.

just my guess but maybe scheduling just really really likes you!!! :)

this happened to me last night. Got called at 815pm for an 815am show time which sent me into panic commute mode. I looked at the list earlier in the day and there were 2 guys with lower raw scores and same availability so i didnt think i'd get called, especially for a bare minimum notice that late in the evening. After i got to base i called scheduling and asked why. I was told that even though there were 2 people on the list that showed available for the day they werent available because he "believed" that those 2 guys were finishing an assignment early that morning and thus werent available to cover the trip. Under the NWA system we could look at the list and see this but we have no way to do it now that i know of. it would be nice if we could see when everyone is truly available if they are on the list.

I did, but my wife said no. I'd love to get 10.5 times two. Oh, well. It canceled BTW.

You and me both. The reserve is worse than I ever had anywhere. Hope to see some changes very soon. 5AM 7ER NYC reserve got nothing to do with international flying and should not be treated as one.
