Mesa to fly for Delta through Aug. 31

Delta has reached an agreement with Mesa Air to keeping flying commuter flights through August, thus avoiding a shutdown of Delta-related operations country wide, said The Wall Street Journal. According to papers filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan, Mesa reached a deal that will allow for an “orderly wind-down” of its Delta Connection operations during the next several months, the article said. Under the deal, which was approved by the court on Monday, Mesa would continue to operate regional connecting flights for Delta until Aug. 31. Visit DNN to read the complete story.

What's going on in New York City, no news or info on the Lga or Jfk situations are we playing the status quo game?

The icrew function for self deviation ps booking on a back end dh is pretty darn cool. You know what else is cool, having a wife that tells you to sleep in, take a later flight, you deserve a quiet night with no baby waking up. You know what's not cool, having booked the 530am out prior to talking to the wife... Dooh! It won't let me change it and I don't want to call scheduling and have it get screwed up so I'll be home, extra early.

Just be sure to keep reminding her that "oh, baby, I couldn't possibly get a good nights sleep knowing that you were home all alone with our precious little one. I am on the first flight home!" :)

Ha, yeah. I can try. :D actually, we go in shifts on the bad nights, I take 9pm-5am and sleep from 5-8am... I love love sleeping in from 5 to 8.

I'm so lazy, I haven't taken off prior to 10am since like feb I think. I'd have to go look. It'll be weird leaving the airport prior to 10pm. Ftb knows how to sleep in and get trips that match.

Absolutely. Here's "Buzz's Rules for Happy Wifedom." No matter what the husband does, its always 1 point. Diamond ring = 1 point; date night without the kids = 1 point; buying them a new house = 1 point; telling them that you just have got to get home to see them regardless of how tired you are = 1 point.

NEVER pass up a chance to score 1 point. It's money in the bank. :D

Just remember this, one screw up and all the points in the bank vanish and they remember it for a long time which eats up future points. Gave up on the points, once they realize the point system is out things get better, never allow yourself to get on the point system. Recommend the "Wife Training" Guide google it and save yourself or find the book called "The Predatory Female". Trying to save a brother.:D

Last thing I heard was a few weeks ago, basically looks like Delta and US Airways will fight the DOT's decision in court. Not sure what the timetable for this will be, but I'm assuming it will take some time to get through the courts.

If I had to venture a guess, I would think that both companies will eventually settle this with the DOT under some other set of circumstances out of court.

Don't have a legal background, but I don't think the DOT has a leg to stand on with their reasoning. Clearly the DOT has overstepped their authority in this case, so I would think they would have the burden of responsibility to show the court how the follow up offer made by both companies still did not address their antitrust issues. We are dealing with the federal government, and with this administration, who knows what to expect.
