Now... food for thought. If you use the method I described in part 1, and are successful, you will see the $ in your next paycheck. If you insist on punching the company in the face and going down the grievance path at all cost, you might see it in 2-3 months. Time/value of money. I know which I would prefer. But whatever floats your boat.... |

Sorry for the thread creep, but I have a question that I hope some of the South guys can answer:
I was awarded an AE in the Jan. bid. I have not been scheduled for training yet. Was I allowed to be awarded an AE if I could hold it in the last bid? Current status DC9 DTW B AE in JAN M88 MSP B- I bid for to keep pay protection from 747 SO have not been sched. class date yet. was I able to bid for MAY AE? Thanks Sorry for the thread creep! Sorry for the thread creep! What a preposterous statement. Thread creep to a post is like a genetic mutation to DNA - it is the vehicle that allows change, adaptation, evolution, and ultimately survival. Could this thread have survived if it was about one topic and one topic only? Would anyone want to read a "jillion" posts on one topic - it would be like homework. I say follow the thread wherever it takes us. Should it veer off course and take a detour not too popular amongst the regulars, say for instance a detailed discussion about the effectiveness of women’s hygiene products, it shall unerringly be brought back on course by some juicy rumor, some supposed outlandish management proclamation, or dare I say it - some Noble gesture of DALPA (think Scope). In a world without thread creep (said in that TV announcer guys voice) we would have thread stagnation. So do not bemoan the occasional humorous diversion, the seemingly unrelated sports bravado or the much too infrequent hot college babe pictures. Roll with it. Scoop :) |
The new unionization rules from the NMB have been pushed back from June 10th to June 30th pending a hearing on the ATA's motion for a preliminary injunction.

U-CAL, thats United and Continental, have jumped ahead of Delta Air Lines in the "race" to get the 787! But the Chicago Tribune reports, nobody wants the first production airplanes because they're fatter than previously thought. Word is, the 787 is compromised but nobody knows how much but Boeing has said they have significant design improvements that start with the 25th Dreamliner.
--- Meanwhile, FTB is shoring up in his mind the Embraer 1200. Its an EMB-195 stretched to seat 120 with a straight wing and massive turboprops and main gear trucks for coolness. It'll burn 50% less fuel than any jet version of similiar size, wait, 54%. Hell, I can do this like the professional pinheads that figure out the number of hurricanes each year... the EMB-1200 will save 20%-95% in fuel. Its the game changer that EMB needs because lets face it, the E-Jets are not game changers and there is a chance the C-Series might not be either. EMB said in AW&ST that they don't intend to go into the same size market as the C-Series because their aircraft is not a game changer and why go into a heavily crowded market and get clobbered every way possible? Hence, FTB's, EMB-1200. No picture yet, if picture is needed, go look at Mrs McPhee a few pages back for a few minutes. --- ATL ER just gets that much more funner on September 4th with 76ER Monrovia Liberia flights with a stop in Accra. --- AMR to train managers in case of FA strike. |
