Some times it is because the guys ahead of you are just getting back from trips. so in theory they are not available.... but are still on reserves.
check next time you get back from trip you will be on there. just my guess but maybe scheduling just really really likes you!!! :) Wow... http://www.cardatabase.net/modifieda...g/00002791.jpg |

I did, but my wife said no. I'd love to get 10.5 times two. Oh, well. It canceled BTW.
Just being honest. |

On that day that I finished a trip I noticed that I was showing as available - weird and also confusing if you were below me on the list, and trying to figure out if you were next up. I guess to really play it safe you should look up the schedule of the guys above you on the list to confirm exactly what they have going on. Scoop |

Scoop, how do you do that? I just tried and I couldn't figure it out.
Buzz, I have never done it but I believe that if you have their employee number you can look up schedules via DBMS. I don't think it is a reserve specific funtion. I know that you can look up schedules in the personal information section of DBMS, but I think there is probably other ways to do it. Sorry I can't help more but its been a few months since I bid reserve. Scoop |

What's up with our reserve system? For the third time in a row, I've got the highest or second highest raw score, same number of available days, and I get called out? What am I missing here?
The scheduling computer system looks at days of availability and not who is finishing trips. Therefore, you will see guys with lower scores who would technically be first up, but they could be finishing a trip that day and be unavailable due to rest or scheduling constraints to do the trip. Its frustrating, I bid reserve for the past few years and occasionally got burned by where I thought I was the least likely to get called only to find out it wasn't the case. |

With their employee number you can go to schedules in DBMS and substitute their employee number for yours and their schedule will come up. As you probably know, you will then be listed at the bottom of their schedule telling them that you checked their schedule.

for instance, I'm showing on the reserve list for tomorrow but i dont get back to base until 1900 so really i'm not worth anything as far as a reserve. But for other reserves looking at the list, they wouldnt know it by looking at the list. That could really hose you if you think others on the list before Appear to be before you on the call list.
