One way to get a rough idea as to how accurate the availability list is, is to compare the number of people on the list vs the Reserves Available list.

Maybe on Icrew 2.0 they can start showing a pilots status or eligibility next to their name on the resv aval list.

I am almost thinking it was better back in the stone ages. If you got called you got called, if you didn't you didn't. No lists to worry about, no double guessing.

Sorry for the thread creep! Sorry for the thread creep! What a preposterous statement. Thread creep to a post is like a genetic mutation to DNA - it is the vehicle that allows change, adaptation, evolution, and ultimately survival.

Could this thread have survived if it was about one topic and one topic only? Would anyone want to read a "jillion" posts on one topic - it would be like homework.

I say follow the thread wherever it takes us. Should it veer off course and take a detour not too popular amongst the regulars, say for instance a detailed discussion about the effectiveness of women’s hygiene products, it shall unerringly be brought back on course by some juicy rumor, some supposed outlandish management proclamation, or dare I say it - some Noble gesture of DALPA (think Scope).

In a world without thread creep (said in that TV announcer guys voice) we would have thread stagnation. So do not bemoan the occasional humorous diversion, the seemingly unrelated sports bravado or the much too infrequent hot college babe pictures. Roll with it.

Scoop :)

Agreed Scoop. If it weren't for thread creep, I'd have almost nothing to say! :D

greenslip

so if you greenslip and put that you want say 15 hrs minimum. does that mean that the greenslip part has to be 15hrs worth of pay?? or can the whole trip be 15hrs total?

such as I have say the next 2 days off but reserves on the 3rd day. so if its greenslip trip would 15hrs have to be on the first 2 days or could whole trip be only 15hrs?? such as a manchester trip, and I only get greenslip pay of 7.5 hrs

thanks

My understanding is when you put in a greenslip and have an hours restriction, the hours are for what the trip is worth. So, yes, your example very well could happen on reserve.

So with last nights meltdown, did anyone else besides me get called in the middle of the night for an IA?

Not yet. They've got to sift through the furlough recall bypass guys first. There are a few hundred on furlough bypass that will be written to/called first. Then they'll know how many slots are available.

They haven't done that yet either.
