If you really want to fly the trip, try to out of base WS the day before. If you try to out of base GS the trip realize that all in base GS's will have the opportunity before you do. If it is that great of a trip, I would think that someone in base might do a swap with the pot over the same days.

Our flight home had 40-45 seats open, but they only put 6 non-revs on. They gave us a seat in coach even with seats available in Business Class. Just before door closing, an agent came to me and said we could move up after takeoff but not before due to CG issues.
If I had to do it all over again, I would take my family on passes, but NO WAY would I take "buddies" over again. At least we can jump on KLM or someone else, the "buddies" don't have that luxury.
I priced a ticket a couple of months ahead and I think it was $1500 or so from MSP-ATL-JNB. Our friends bought a one-way walk-up ticket for $1200 and they had to use some miles for that rate.

Sorry, forgot to tell you thanks for the info. Everything goes out the window when you're trying to determine the viability of non-reving on a particular route when you can predict freight.

I guess to really play it safe you should look up the schedule of the guys above you on the list to confirm exactly what they have going on.

Scoop

We shouldn't have to "look up the other guy's schedule." We had the technology for an accurate display of where you sit before and it should be available now. Yesterday's technology tomorrow.

Hey guys,

I thumbed through the contract several times, but couldn't find the table that shows are advance pay based on YOS. Can somebody point me in the right direction?

Thanks. :)

Hey. I've looked all over the contract and don't think it's in there. I've only seen it in a memo from 11-16-09 about Transitioning to Delta Payroll.

Pages 3-3 thru 3-12 of the contract. If you are looking for something beyond 12 YOS, or 2012, forget it. It doesn't exist. 12 YOS in 2012 is the top payrate at the company right now.

A note of thanks to those who helped me parse the non-rev options to and from Germany. I wound up flying to FRA and back through STR, with no problems other than one particularly rude cat wrangler.

So far this month, L&G has helped me make to two important family functions. Thanks for being such a great community!

Well I'll look there. Thanks for the help. :)

No, we aren't talking about payrates for each airplane. We Delta pilots receive an 'advance paycheck' on the 31st of each month. The amount we receive is based on YOS. Which airplane we fly doesn't matter, it's the same gross amount based on YOS. For instance, I think a guy with less then 2 YOS gets a gross amount of $1300, a guys with 2+ YOS $1350, and so forth. I don't think that table is in the contract.

Thanks for your input though.:)

I think he is looking for the "Advance  paycheck" amounts which are not in the contract but instead are company policy.

I don't know where to find it, but believe that the info was put out in a TWG notepad.

Johnso, that is determined by payroll. I have seen it somewhere. When I get the time I will dig for it. If I recall after three yos your advance goes up.
