In the last few weeks, I've noticed a trend of pre-canceling flights, even though weather is not an issue. On my current rotation, they canceled an ATL-ECW turn three days before the rotation began. As an RDU commuter, I've also noticed a couple of ATL-RDU turns that were canceled well in advanced. Same for ATL-CLT. I asked a gate agent in RDU about that and he said one of the turns was canceled due to lack of equipment. All the ones I've seen are MD88 cancellations, although I don't know if this goes on in other fleets.
I'm an 08 hire and this is only my second summer on the Mad Dog. Is this normal practice during summer season? |

I always figured the guy who wrote the "Rubber dog **** out of Hong Kong line never spent much time in Hong Kong. Or on the boat, for that matter.

Oh how I love the E-120 with no AC on the ground. Thousands of hrs sweating my rump off in that thing in the Texas sun...................Ugh.
