Some more flying tips for those who are still challenged with the yoke vs. side stick thing:
When taking off, try really hard to keep the aircraft on the concrete/asphalt thingy. When landing, try really hard to keep the aircraft on the concrete/asphalt thingy. Never refer to the "ramp" as the "tarmac." And this is the most important, always, ALWAYS, sound super sexy cool on the radio. It's not how you fly, its how you sound. Others are listening and they don't know how you fly...they do, however, know how you sound. Wax on, wax off bros. "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnd, center, Delta's 1521 is with you at flight level tree FIFE oh, smoooooth ride, how are you doing today?" :D |

Isn't it about 10 hours early for sharpshooting?
ACL is to AE sniping as others are to Ebay sniping. I've just got my moonshots in there and thats it. |
um, I've never flown the 320, never been in one, only got close at the Air and Space Museum and if it was in ATL I'd bid it, that said this is really all you nned to know:
Who cares if its French, FBW, side stick and loosy goosey in the tail compartment... IT'S GOT A TRAY TABLE THAT IS WEIGHT LIMITED TO 120 LBS!!! Now that is setting a standard we can all appreciate. http://notmytribe.com/wp-content/upl...-flags-pin.jpg :D |
Hey. Just a quick question from a non-experienced AE bidder:
So, if you have vacation in November and I get an AE or VD bid on this bid, I have to rebid it? Even if I would just be going to a different base in the same airplane and seat? What if I didn't get converted until after my original vacation? |

If its not to late to sway folks about their AE bid:
http://www.achristmasstoryhouse.com/...ctionHouse.jpg ^^^ MD88 has the same number of individual light bulbs in the cockpit as there are Christmas lights in this picture of Ferds house. Add the back of the airplane and exterior, there are triple the amount of bulbs. |

(1) Also, WRT Reno, those pilots were indeed stapled to the bottom. HOWEVER, The entire venture that was Reno Airlines was a direct violation of the A/A scope clause. Company was run by a former A/A V.P. and his "posse", and the flying was set up as a poke in the eye to the A/A pilot group. If memory serves, 610 of the A/A pilots were furloughed as a result of Reno being set up in operation. Ask any of those pilots how they feel about 'Reno Airlines'. It never was set up by American Airlines to be a viable airline per say, merely a go-around and contract negotiating strategy (So the thinking goes).
