No, I'm already working Jul 30-Aug 3.

Maybe on the 4th I'll get something. :(

Go to the website and read some of the recent mandatory bulletins. Then talk to me about how "great" it works both ways. Nobody agrees with that comment right now. The only question is, what do we do about it.

Carl:

The recent mandatory EFOB has more to do with crews being unprofessional and flat out not doing their job versus your perceived lack of standardization and personal control issues for no longer being able to "command" a flap setting (yes that is a jab). As others have pointed out, for those crews to end up where they did, multiple layers of checklist discipline and safety failed. No procedures (SOPA, DAL's or God's) can prevent stupidity and carelessness.

If we really want to get into standardization, let's discuss this gem I found online.

http://www.osc.gov/FY2010/Scanned/10...0President.pdf Office of Special Counsel's Letter to the President of the United States concerning the FAA's lack of oversight of NWA Maintenance.

Ouch! I sure hope DAL has corrected whatever issues existed when we merged. We don't need stupidity and carelessness from the past to slow us down moving forward.

Carl, I welcome your thoughts and suggestions. Everyone does. However, you come across as a whiner, a know-it-all, and you never have anything positive to say. I don't mean any disrespect but it is true. You are flying FNWA equipment with FNWA pilots. For the rest of us, we've merged, accepted change (even if it was a little on FDAL's part), and have moved on with our lives. For those of us who see where areas can be improved, we've spoken up and have submitted paperwork. Our merger truly has been amazing and I am thankful for how smoothly it has gone.

Lastly, once the fences come down, I hope you are forced to fly with fDAL pilots or by some act of God get displaced so you can join the real Delta.

Triggers work just fine.

Right back at ya. You are whining like a little girl cause Delta did not adopt all your procedures.

Xray,

If you look back 1000 pages or so, you will see that I was one of those who was up in arms about the flap non-call. I have since quieted down because as tsquare said I would, I got used (??) to it. But, every point Carl and Ferd are making still hold true and they seem to be making them in a professional, non-flaming manner.

For the record, I still think it's better to be accustomed to "hearing" and "seeing" triggers. Especially, for the flaps. I still get an uneasy feeling every time I takeoff from 3L in DTW. No one is perfect and the more safeguards we have, IMO, the better. No sour grapes. No whining. It looks like they are just trying to keep it real. Real safe ya know. :)

Yeah I know, not addressed to me but..........

With all your Carl bashing, let me make an observation back to you. You never fail to post something showing what a crap hole NWA was and what a great decision YOU made going to Delta vs NWA.

That, my friend, is getting JUST as old.

I've not said those things. They are your words, not mine.

My record stands for itself. I have been as outspoken against DAL and issues like this that I've found on NWA.

I was very humbled and impressed with my hiring experience at NWA. Additionally, many times on here I've pointed out when NWA had a 100% completion day, something DAL never has.

I'm not a hater so don't make me out to be one. I'm new to DAL and my blood doesn't bleed blue (actually it does, I'm a UK fan). However, I've never seen anything good from that guy. We all want this place to be better.

You're previous post was just shameful flame baiting. You add nothing to this discussion with that kind of stuff.

Carl
