My understanding from revenue folks is people will chose their tickets based on price down to as low as $2.

I think this is one of the reasons we jumped on the baggage fee bandwagon. People would go buy a ticket on Airline XYZ beacause it was $5 cheaper, not realizing they would be paying an extra $25 when they got to the airport. So even though we tried to bake the price of the bag into the ticket, No one was booking to us because of it, and everyone else was getting extra revenue.

The interesting part is that bag fee is bag free, I think? Isn't that why congress is bothered by it when they see are income from it is not being taxed?

Statistically, maybe what you are using for a data base isn't that smart either. Just a suggestion. But, from where I sit, she has it right...and you don't.

Oopss..big ooopss for you. You never know whose watching on these APC sites do you?

It is difficult to get too picky because this thread covers a variety of topics, many silly some serious. But there are an infinite number of webboards where we can all fight the Red/Blue socialist/fascist arguments. Besides violating the terms of service, it is just boring. Yes even more boring than SEC football.

Actually no (I'll see if I can find my NWA history book "Flying to the Top" for a ref if you really care:D). But Northwest Orient was a marketing slogan painted on the sides of the jets (like the NWA.com paint job before the merger).

Fly Delta Jets!!

United States. The old guys back then were very patriotic, and were surprised to find out that "US" hadn't already been taken.

Carl

I had heard that Northwest owned the rights to the name "United States Airlines" and once contemplated making that their name. Then along came "United Airlines" and that would have been ... well ... just downright confusing as hell.

Every time I taxi past that hangar in ATL I can't help from chuckling. It's so retro - it's great!

Nowadays, it would be like advertising for a TV program and hyping the fact that it will be "... in living color!" Or, a major motion picture " ... with surround sound!"

Someday, our children will tell their children, "They used to advertise TV programs that were in HD, like that was something special."

Of course, by that time, people will be getting Netflix implants and they can watch any movie they want just by thinking about it.
