Well Buzz, tsquare and others, the quickest way to put this issue to rest would be to produce the written document that says none of the "notes" will be used by mama DAL against any pilots for disciplinary or other actions and/or that the info will be de-identified.

Its nice to say that you are just sending out line guys to take notes and help you with an aircraft new to you, but what one guy writes down as an innocuous "observation" can easily come back to bite some one else in the ass. That is why you don't get FOQA without accompanying de-identifying and non-disciplinary language.

Really its ALPAs job to ensure that this language exists prior to the program being implemented, so ALPA show us the written protection and we can put this to bed.

That link suggested this link next, and if it doesn't epitomize the theme of my have-fun-while-able mindset, I don't know what does

Feel free.. you are welcome any time. Take all the notes you want, and publish them in the NYT for all I care. I make mistakes just like the next guy, but I got nothing to hide.

I don't know what the big deal is about these "secret agents" (if that really is what they are). I fly the plane the same way and use the same procedures whether the FAA, a checkairman, a commuter, or nobody is in the jumpseat. Who cares? If you're using proper procedure then you'll have nothing to worry about.

FWIW, I think the TOE guide is 45 pages.

Who needs to worry about a jump seater taking notes, I have the Captain to worry about!

The accusations are serious, but like I said last night, I thought this was deal with. If not take it to the Reps and CPO. I understand the angst that Carl and Nosmo are stating. If it went down like that, of course there is an issue.

Has anyone called their reps or CP to see if there was a resolution to this?

First Mob, I like FtB's connect the dots, but that jet only has two engines.

I would always assume it would be 744's first and if the 748 fell in our lap we "might" think once or twice about it. :D

No shizzle!! Sometimes I'm way to busy to take notes. Love to be in Carl's jumpseat some day. That would be cool.;)

I know. I do not have time either. I am generally trying to count the waves as we do a crossing. That takes a lot of work :p
