That was an UGLY game. ASU should have scored about 34 points. UW will be lucky to be Top 3 in the Big Ten...

Yes, I've seen that and it surprises me. The surfing is great in DKR, but it has definately lost some popularity now that it doesn't include CPT. I've traded away a DKR-CPT-DKR for Christmas off. I could not have done that if it was just DKR.

The three day ACC is pretty senior, but that city is also making great strides in malaria prevention. From 2008 to 2009 it was down over 50%. I'm sure the 2010 numbers will show further reduction in malaria.

Having been thru DKR on the way to ABV though, I'd take DKR any day over ABV. That van ride lends new meaning to the term "I'll ride shotgun". I'm curious if the appeal of a 4 man trip will outweigh the health risks and personal safety concerns there.

Disclaimer: NYC 7ER is on my MD list.

Cairo is cool (once). That would be enough to mark Africa off my list of continents. No need to venture anywhere south of Cairo or north of Joberg.

OK - Let me see if I got this right because I must be missing something.

Our Joint contract sucks and most FNW guys are taking home less money - even though they now have a higher pay-scale. This is because of crappy work rules - yet you guys voted overwhelmingly for it.

This is also Delta Souths fault - you guys voted in the Joint contract at higher numbers than DAL but that is also DAL's fault because of ............? Hell I don't even know why thats Delta Souths fault.

It seems I remember hearing something about DAL N guys didn't have a choice, something about being left behind, but if it was a merger of equals (which I pretty much believe) how did you end up at a disadvantage?

It seems to me voting for something and then complaining you didn't have a choice seems disingenuous at best. There is really no good reason here, but who cares anyway? It passed and we are both stuck with it - lets blame management not each other.

This whole DAL South vs. DAL North crap is getting pretty old. Both companies were in BK. Both Pilot groups got screwed. Both groups are predominantly made up of great guys even though the law of averages would have us believe that a few turds must be in here somewhere, on both North and South. Neither set of work rules were totally superior to the other groups - both had good and bad.

So why are we arguing about this stuff now?

All correct.

It absolutely is not DAL South's fault. I don't recall a single poster who said it was.

I don't think it's South vs North...I never have. This is only about a very few number of Southies posting patently incorrect things about the North's contract and thus coming to patently false conclusions. I've chosen to state the actual facts as opposed to just ignoring the falsehoods. Again, it's not North vs South it's just correct vs incorrect.

Because a small portion of South guys have a need to post incorrect things about the old North group. After experiencing both companies, my conclusion is that we are very similar. Similarly substandard contracts, similarly superior pilots, similar aspirations for the future. Neither side was superior to the other IMO.
