Of course, in that example it may be that there are no more bidders beyond the 14 awarded in, and therefore, 34 slots will truly become unfilled vacancies.
But you could also look at a WB B category, or junior A category, both with plenty of bidders, and see them not backfill slots which would NOT generate unfilled vacancies for newhires.
For example, I don't know if the projected headcount for the NYC M88 A changed, but I assume a few went out, and noone came in.
Pretty confusing, at least to me.

You and Super are probably right.
Trying to figure out what happens next used to be something I enjoyed, but now it just gives me a big headache

Saw a couple of NYC765 CA get 747CA. I would have guessed that they were fNWA CA (would have to be) So how is it that they would get to break a freeze and get the 747CA...And when would they have been awarded the 767-400...last bid? Can anyone say..training churn?
Sink. Look at the 22D.3 Report. It shows their projected staffing in each seat at the end of this conversion window. You are correct is noting that there are a lot of narrowbody seat reductions on this bid, and there is a reason for it.
See if the chatter you guys are hearing can put two and two together on this!

I just checked. Most of them were previous 755 guys, and as mentioned, had a 9 month freeze for the conversion to 765, which expired 1 Oct.

I've flown with a couple of them, they had a 9 mos. freeze eff. 01Jan2010 because they were 7ER (755) guys before the 765, their freeze was up 01Oct10.
