I guess you have to consider how many are already in category, or more specifically previously projected to be in category as of the last award, then do the +/- on this award, INCLUDING displacements, and compare that result to the 22D3.

But then again, I'm not 100% certain the 22D3 is the sum of projected pilots plus positions offered.

Seems very, very complicated to me to see unfilled positions from an award. And I think my cerebellum just fused, as Calvin (from Calvin and Hobbes) would say.

This is a job for...

Agreed, but alas some guy on the DALPA forum will have the category list done in a few hrs with an excel program he has created. Work smart, not hard! I say wait for that file. :D

I think your right. If that was the case more MSP88 positions would have been awarded.

The 22D3 shows 180 MSP88B's. Oct shows the numbers only at 121 and there are about 25 guys waiting to be converted bringing the total numbers to 146 meaning there should have been about 34 "extra" spots.

On this AE 14 guys bid off it, and 14 guys were awarded it meaning that even though the 22D3 shows open seats, it appears the company did not fill anything above what it had already.

they didnt fill because they didnt have bodies to put in the "extra" positions correct?

Wow. I'm annoying even myself with the huge picture.

Anyways, it seems as though the MD-90's are trickling in slower than anticipated. Not sure if they are running behind on heavy checks or what, but it is a very slow trickle in that the "new" birds are taking on the way to the line.

Of course, in that example it may be that there are no more bidders beyond the 14 awarded in, and therefore, 34 slots will truly become unfilled vacancies.

But you could also look at a WB B category, or junior A category, both with plenty of bidders, and see them not backfill slots which would NOT generate unfilled vacancies for newhires.

For example, I don't know if the projected headcount for the NYC M88 A changed, but I assume a few went out, and noone came in.

Pretty confusing, at least to me.

Damni.t!

I hate posting on one of these big a.ss pages.

It would have been worth it if it was at least because of some boobies....but NYC? Weak....

I don't suppose you have a picture that's reaches a little further to the right? I bet you there would be a lot of interesting buildings in it, and then we could all be posting one-liners.

I know a guy that supposedly had his bid in for it and he didn't get it. I can check.

The most junior awarded MD88 driver was #11533....about 700 from the bottom of the entire list. It's possible, but seems kind of strange.

I just read Moak's Chairman Letter. I threw up all over the place, not just a little.
