What is the pecking order at ASA for the jumpseat? When I was there I recall it was ASA, Skywest, Delta Mainline, DCI carriers, and then OAL.

yeah apparently he thinks its acceptable to book a jumpseat before his last turn then come running up right at departure time completely disregarding procedures. I filed a JSAP with the committee, unfortunately it wont help me get home tonight but hopefully they can put a stop to this because i'm finding out from others this is a common theme lately.

If it was a ASA flight and he was a Pinnacle jumpseater, I am not sure how he could have booked the JS.

FTB, ...wow did you see the delay charts.

Interesting tidbit I just heard about.....

I have a friend that was displaced from the 744 to the 7ER on the Jan AE. She was converted in early summer and is now flying as a 7ER B. On the latest AE she was reinstated to the 744.

Now this is where it gets interesting..... She was contacted by her CP and asked/advised to remain on the ER since Delta had invested "all the money and time" getting her qualified! That seems pretty low to have a CP lean on someone because they were displaced, qualified on a different aircraft but now wish to return to displaced position.

Anyone heard of this happening before?

Never.

Hey ftb pretty cool charts. Too bad it doesnt quantify everything meaningfully/with actual numbers. These charts kind of go hand in hand with the contract comparison thread, I think.

I was surprised to see how much cheaper the Air Tran 73-700 was to operate compared to the Dal 73-700. That's about as deep into it as I got.

Maybe someone played a joke? That's bizarre.

We can solve the D0 time pretty easy you know. Probably won't cost much and it will give you extremely good D0 times.

Step 1: Admit pilots are turning on the beacon early anyways, so, from now on, beacon on when all doors closed.

Step 2: Memo to all ground personnel, no longer is the beacon a sign an aircraft is pushing but rather that push is pending and that the airplane is either out or not out yet. The only sign an aircraft is pushing will be the ground marshaller.

Step 3: If you have not received a message to remain at the gate until WDR is recieved, then you should push without the WDR and you will receive it within 5 minutes of the OUT time and plan taxi and ATC communications accordingly if expecting a quick taxi to takeoff. Airport specific procedures may be necessary to prevent creating congestion if WDR issue arises after push back- until SWA arrives in ATL at which point expect a memo on the 10 best ways to create ramp and taxiway congestion.
