Since we are talking about scheduling. Why is it they tag a rotation to be "reserve only". I don't recall seeing that in the coverage order. Usually happens when they bring reserves in from another base....which I am also not real sure about.

I live in ATL and am based here. Shortcall should cease immediately in ATL because I don't want to be on shortcall. And I have to drive to the airport and everything. This is b.s. Thanks a lot, ALPA. Where's my DPA card to mail in?

No, I get it. 0330 sucks no matter where you are. But I get 0400, 0500, 0600, 0700 SC's all the time. Those would be bad for a commuter too. Where do you draw the line on a good time to begin SC? At the risk of being labeled an ALPA sympathizer, they're really not to blame for that. |

Since DTW is under utilized and ATL does have a on time dep and arr problem, plus an extremely low O&D, perhaps more traffic will be flowing through DTW and out of ATL, just a thought to balence it out:)
