That's the only non-sports show I watch on TV nowadays. It's hilarious.

 

I love it. Way better the my cable ever was. The only catch is they have to be able to mount the dish at a point where it's facing south. Don't know if that's an issue in a townhouse, but it was an issue for my sister with her apartment. Her apartments roof faced North, so she can't even get a satellite provider.

I've had it for years and it's great other than the price. I lived in TX and had a couple storms a year that messed up the signal and now I live in Idaho and the snow messes it up about once per winter. I used to pay just over $50 per month and my bill has slowly crept up to $72. I did add HD so really it's just went up $12/mo. They will charge you for your base package, DVR service, HD programming, lots of taxes, etc. My base package is $50 and my bill ends up being $72 with HD DVR service.

I'm thinking of ditching TV service entirely and using the HD over the air antenna to get locals for free in HD, Netflix, and the various websites to watch TV. With a TIVO for the locals and Netflix, I'm sure I could get all I want to watch for under $25/mo.

Verizon iPad is really a WiFi iPad bundled with a Verizon MiFi hotspot.

Verizon iPhone will be a 3G iPhone in 2011. 4G/LTE still has issues and Apple is not going to want to deal with those issues since it is out of their control. There is still the rumor about a T-Mo iPhone in 2011.

Android users that want to access iCrew should get the latest beta of Firefox mobile. The scrolling issues on some screens exist. Personally I have only been able to workaround those scrolling issues because I have a real keyboard on my Droid2. The TAB key and down arrow key saves my butt in Firefox/iCrew quite often. Don't know if the new Droid Pro has any issues or not.

So I found this thread via Google while doing some research on the sleep cycle. Just curious about how you Delta international pilots COPE with all the time zone changes every-time you move from one continent to another. Does your body eventually go *** all the time and not care what time zone you're in? Even my school and regular work stuff is making my body go nocturnal shifting my regular wake/sleep schedule +3-6 hours and this is staying within a time zone. I assume you guys are used to it.

Nosmo King, Apple is rumored to make a dual-mode iPhone for Verizon in 2011. I really hope this is true... Knowing Apple it will probably have global capability from the start with dual CDMA and GSM/WCDMA radios for international roaming (like the current AT&T version with only GSM/WCDMA radios but with 4 of the frequency bands used in 99% of the world). Apple SIM-locking the iPhone in the US is retarded in my opinion with AT&T refusing to give the subsidy unlock code unless you start hacking it (jailbreak). (You can buy the iPhone SIM-unlocked in Canada and Europe/Asia). I guess this is more of a AT&T business model. Verizon's international roaming rates of $1.99/minute isn't too bad if you only use it for emergencies. (With the added advantage of a +1 US # working in 220 countries where VZW has signed voice/data roaming agreements). VZW also has global $65/month data roaming up to 5GB globally that can be added/removed. Similar with AT&T but I like VZW's US coverage better.

I still have my T-Mobile/O2 EU SIM card for prepaid voice/data that I swap my phone from and switch to GSM/WCDMA mode before I land in Europe. Similar DoCoMo one for Japan and a variety for Asia.
