NEW YORK — A Delta flight that took off from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport returned to the airport because of a smoky odor near one of the galleys. Delta spokesman Paul Skrbec says Flight 268 had taken off Saturday night, headed for Tel Aviv, Israel. The odor became noticeable shortly into the flight and the captain decided to return to JFK in an "abundance of caution." The 390 passengers on the flight were given accommodations for the night. Skrbec says the flight has been rescheduled for Sunday evening. |

No... that's not my brain after FCCQ10 or after trying to figure out the whatever it was 80 said he knew how to do when it came to braking action reports. It's not after trying to figure out the PWA or read the DPA thread. I just watched Inception again. It's really gooood. The bacon and potatoes are just because I love bacon and potatoes. I really love it all in a burrito. I'm really hungry now. FWIW, yeah, I could turn a 747 around just as well as Carl. :D |
Now the GS's are flowing on ATL88B, there are going to be some WS's none to happy when they look at the daily coverage and see the GS's that went before.

Delta Air Lines told investors at the Hudson Securities airline conference in New York that it is focusing on top-line revenue growth, cost discipline, delevering its balance sheet, improving profitability, and using free cash flow to pay down debt. During the third quarter ended Sept. 30 the carrier invested $750 million in de-levering its balance sheet, which it said will further enhance its profitability in 2011. "Delta's return to profitability it based on strong top-line revenue growth; our September quarter revenues were up 18%, unit revenues were up over 16%," CFO Hank Halter said. It plans to invest $1 billion in the next three years on aircraft, technology and infrastructure renewal. The carrier, which started the year with 1,433 aircraft, said it will retire 90 of its least efficient aircraft—primarily from its 50-seat regional jets and 34-seat turboprops, a move that will enhance its operating income by $300 million as it focuses on growing mainline capacity. "Network efficiency is driving our significant gains," Halter said. Its Pacific entity was up 54% year-over-year in the September quarter. Latin America and transatlantic activity was also “up significantly” and domestic showed improvement of 12%. |
