Thanks for the update guys. I LOVE more airplanes to offset the DC9's getting parked. :)

This almost offsets the DC9-30/40's that are going.

Not the greatest!!!

These 90's should be growth planes for Delta! The DC9 is being replaced by that Compass Crap... This is one area where the merger was not beneficial to the pilot group.

You're not necessarily wrong!:D

My only point was trip credit also applies to reserve. Hence, if he is on a 5 day trip and it extends into the 6th day for whatever reason, he will get the 1 for 3.5 trip credit for the trip. This may or may not add time to the trip via trip credit. It just, well, depends on the amount of hard time and DH time flown for the trip.

Denny, interesting language in 12D where it talks about the MAXIMUM Scheduled duty day, but you can go above the MAXIMUM scheduled duty time

A pilot will not be rerouted or required to be on duty more than two hours beyond his applicable maximum scheduled duty time Section 12 D.

Its like the glass is completely full, but we can try and pour more into it!

Gotcha. Thanks for the info. Always learning. :D

Johnso,

You are correct that you need to be an active crew member on the flight to get the 5:15 a day for duty period average for reserve. He would not receive that for the last day, or any day, that consisted soley of a DH.

Yeah, I learned that the hard way this past summer working 18 days for 79 hours.

Thanks fella

My first month in reserve and the rules are confusing to say the least. Remember bid what you want want what you bid....

As for duty my flights pushed back to the point I will miss the dh back to base. I called and talked to the guys at cs and they said stand by will figure it out .... the adventure continues
