Thanks for the update guys. I LOVE more airplanes to offset the DC9's getting parked. :)

This almost offsets the DC9-30/40's that are going.

How about MD90's in addition to Dc-9's. :(

That would be ideal, but I'm dealing with reality. :(

Ok APC Reserve gurus I need some help. I am on day 5 of a 5 day and being rerouted...no issues with that. However part of the reroute is a DH home after an additional leg. Contractually I am available for a 13 hour duty day today this DH takes me to 15. Can I say no thank you I would prefer to DH tomorrow instead?

Caveat is I do have a day on Reserve tomorrow and I am happy to fly... hoping to time out before Chirstmas.

PS Any suggestions other then reducing my RAW score to build time to ALV?

Contractually you can be extended for 2 hours beyond your max duty day listed on the pairing.

The maximum scheduled duty time limitations set forth in Section 12 D. are scheduling limitations only. Maximum scheduled duty time is calculated as of the point in time of initial publication or creation of a duty period. A pilot will not be rerouted or required to be on duty more than two hours beyond his applicable maximum scheduled duty time in Section 12 D. 1. and 3. It is within the sole discretion of each individual pilot to decide in any given situation whether he will remain on duty beyond his maximum scheduled duty time plus two hours. A pilot’s decision not to remain on duty beyond his maximum scheduled duty time plus two hours will be accepted without challenge by Crew Tracking.

The above is from section 12 of the contract.

When will we announce the purchase of the JAL D-90's?

Thanks Denny. They are showing me at 15 hours now so I can tell them no thanks. No the question is does this add to my same rotation...i.e. 5 day to 6 day or is this no credit?

Reserves have to work 14 duty periods for the month to receive 5:15. A day which consists solely of a DH is not a duty period, so basically the DH credit would just slide from today to tomorrow & not increase the total value of the rotation.

Pick an "informed" date in the future and add 6 months or a year to it. :)

That's not quite the way I read it unless you pull the "fatigued" card. If your max duty day on the pairing is 13 hours, you can contractually be extended up to 2 hours beyond the 13 which would be 15 hours. After that it is soley at your descretion to go to the FAA max of 16 hours.
