I cannot tell you how many times I have received a new AWABS while taxiing that was well within the tolerance granted by the previous AWABS that is already loaded in system. If that's all that has changed, I will go with the previous AWABS and use the tolerance from it. Voila! No more heads down typing while taxiing unless the new AWABS has more than the tolerance allowed.

For the previous posts and to those who care. Just installed Android 2.2 (Froyo) on my HTC EVO and Icrew still doesn't work correctly. Same "simple accelerator" errors. I had hoped that the new flash would have fixed the problem. It didn't. The Delta side probably needs to upgrade its system before it'll ever work.

Now that all of the NYC guys are getting 90 qualified, I have some questions.
When completing the training CD and entering it in DBMS, do you get pay for the training? If so, when is it credited? The month you complete it? Also, how much credit is it worth (if any)? Suppose you are on reserve in the category, how is the 70 hours for reserve calculated? Is it based on 88 rates or is it somehow pro-rated with the 90? |

It is simple. First look should be the ZFW. In tolerances? Most of the time yes. |

Denny Bingo! but sometimes you have to hunt and peck to see if you have tolerance with the new system - because its new. Rookie I am not very creative, but does anyone have a personal list of things they expense when at training in ATL when you arent based there. Is the barbecue kitchen expensible? |

Is anyone using the Droid X yet? If so, is it compatible with I-Crew? How about setup? What browser works best?
Thanks in advance, Desp |

Really?? How much control over the FPS system do ANY of us have? How much control over the throttles do ALL of US have? Do what YOU can where YOU can and don't worry about the rest of it... hopefully those that DO have control are as interested as you and I are in saving money and will do the right thing. It takes time to change some of those things. SE taxi and proper APU useage can be done with the next pushback.
Pilots are professionals. I rather enjoy the challenge of planning my taxiout as much as i enjoy my planning for the approach and landing. There may be operational reasons for running that 2nd engine, but if there isn't, then the captain isn't being the professional pilot that he/she could be. We need to change the pardigm thet has too long been held at fNWA in regards to SE taxi. We do it one flight at a time. |

As for MD88 vs 90 pay on reserve, you will be paid the MD88 rate regardless of how often you fly the MD90 unless you exceed the reserve guarantee for the month in which case, you'll be paid the difference for those hours flown on the MD90.
C. Reserve Line Guarantee 1. The line guarantee of a reserve pilot for credit purposes will be 70 hours, and for pay purposes, will be the total dollar value determined as follows:a) 70 hours minus b) his accumulated credit in the bid period, the result of which will be multiplied by c) the hourly rate of the highest paying aircraft model that all pilots in his category may be required to fly in the bid period, the result of which will be added to d) the dollar value of his accumulated credit in the bid period. Note one: Subject to Section 4 G., the dollar value of the accumulated credit in Section 4 C. 1. d), will be computed at the hourly rate of the highest paying aircraft model that all pilots in his category may be required to fly in the bid period. Note two: International pay for a pilot’s flight time flown in international operations in the bid period will be added to the dollar value of the accumulated credit in Section 4 C. 1. d) G. Mixed Aircraft Model Guarantee Contingent on FAA approval, the Company may place any aircraft model into any aircraft type grouping. In such event, the composite hourly rate for the purposes of reserve line guarantee for all aircraft models in the aircraft type grouping will be the weighted average for such models based on the aircraft model mix within the aircraft type groupings. This rate will be adjusted and published annually on January 1st of each year. |
