I got one for sale. Quit wearing it. I like the feel of "Going Commando" myself. Just call me a renegade.

It's clean. Only washed in Woolite on the delicate cycle. Considering it was put up while I was furloughed, it looks almost new.

Don't worry, along with all the new stuff we're getting, there is a new set of panties that are crotchless (in the back:D) so we wont feel the pressure before we get boned again!!!:D:(

I'm not sure if anyone has listened to the JP Morgan investors conference, but they did mention that they are looking at used narrowbody aircraft that will be secured over the next 2 years. They wouldn't give away the fleet type due to ongoing negotiations but it should reinforce what we've already been discussing with the MD90s. They said the purchase price compared to a 76 seater was a no brainer. Also, they are not looking to shed any in-house regionals as our regional flying is split 50-50 between in house and contracted regional carriers. The ability to keep costs in check, ala whipsawing is to important to shed any wholly owned carriers. Also, as we've discussed, they can reduce without penalty any wholly owned flying with capacity cuts. They don't feel there is a market to sell them presently.
All in all a pretty good read. They are anticipating that we will add a $1b to our cash position by the end of the year so that we will end the year with $7b in cash. Lets hope that happens. They are very cognizant of cash being king right now and are trying to be out in front of the other carriers with this. |
I did and the announced capacity cuts will equate to about a 8% total cut. Remember that international flights use three or four pilots. What that means is that we will only see a total of a 5% capacity cut, but it will be about an 8% cut in pilot block hrs.
Now I do not know how we cannot furlough at least two to three hundred pilots with this announcement. |

What about the recent "furlough protection"?
