$40-$45 out the door are plentiful.

Days Inn
Clarion
La Quinta to name a few, I think the Springhill Suites is a little more but it's new.

Tons of options 2 minutes from the airport that offer discounts.

Go to The Metropolitan, rooms $41 after taxes, very comfortable beds. Van every 20 mins. Like it better than La Quinta.

But then how will we get to Denny's?

I disagree, I have had somewhat dirty rooms at The Metropolitan and the van can take awhile to get there. I would go to the La Quinta, every tenth night is free and you just hop on the red parking lot shuttle that comes every minute or two. The La Quinta is closer to other food options as well, Subway, McDonalds, a pizza place, Italian, and a few others.

Check your man-playbook. Planning to go to Denny's is a technical violation. You may only end up there.

It's in the "Drinking and Vomitting" section.

Did you stay at a holiday inn express last night?

Had it said "discussions with airlines regarding the purchase of their used aircraft." I'd buy it.

I'm sure not only are we eyeing every MD-90 in the world and play footsies with SWA over the 717, but don't forget about AMR's parked A300s, 762s and Fokker 100s. Also, we could try and buy back the MD-11 and convert them back into airliners via a "snip-snap-snip-snap" method of aircraft transformation based off of Michael Scott's vasectomy, vasectomy reversal and then subsequent vasectomy. We could bring back the Avro jets. United might be willing to sell us their 735s, 733s and 762s as well. And I haven't even hit the international airlines and what they have to offer.

Really, a boneyard is a goldmine.
I thought it was interesting too. I got that quote in a e-mail news snippet, so I searched and found the whole article on Bloomberg. It stated discussions with aircraft manufactures for narrowbody replacement. I will try to find it again and post the full story. I guess it could tie into the statements a few weeks ago regarding the 320 NEO.

It will be interesting to see how they will pull this off while still reducing the debt load. If nothing else this management team has been creative, so I expect a new aircraft purchase will be no different.

Edit: Here is a link to the article for those who are interested.

Bar,

I think "past practice" is used in many contract disputes to establish what's "legal", written language notwithstanding. If nobody ever volunteered for overtime, the company would have no legitimate beef about it, they'd have to hire more pilots, and guys would move up faster. But lots of us did volunteer (unless pilots were on furlough), so in a way, we made our own bed in this matter.

The other half burned it, but I vaguely do recall 3 AM "Moons over Mihammy" recoveries.
