Yeahbut...this guy put in a picture of a hot chick, which makes it OK!

For that fresh, clean feeling...ahhh. Or you can just do what Joan Rivers does, pour some Fresca on a panty liner and...Strap it on boys!

I too was one of the 95% for 25 yrs until I had foot surgery with a 6 month recovery period than it does become a big deal. Sure wish I had my 1300 hrs of sick leave back.

I'm one of the 95%, and I dont think I'm a full up socialist, but there has to be some mechanism by which the sick leave covers a person at 100% for the full term of (lets say) a broken arm or leg.

Exactly, you have Rotater cuff surgery and you are out for 4-5 months you get the crap kicked out of you when it comes to pay. Just saying, it should be 100%for the full yearly allotment. You will always have those that abuse the sick leave policy, but for those injurys and surgerys that take some time 100% sure would help.

Completely agree. With age 65 everyone will need it at some point.

Puts a different prospective on being a 95%er when you look at having had 2200 hours of 100% just go away. 330,000 bucks gone.

But, every time I see an Alaska jet headed between HNL and PDX or SEA I want to go over at key it. Also, how much more can we pack into that bag called ATL........ie, the increased utilization on this AE?

Overall, I'm encouraged..........now if they will just put more flying into LAX:D

Ferd,

Heard that LAX ER flying is pretty bad. Lots of low time Hawaii flying, all nighters and early East Coast stuff. Haven't you got them to change that yet? I'm not making the big move out to the Valley if the LAX flying stinks!!!

It's at moderators discretion. If you bag on someone they don't particularly like then they let it slide. If you post political opinions that support a particular party they let it slide.

Yikes-I wonder if supplemental insurance (i.e. Aflac) would cover the value of saved sick leave, especially a massive amount?

Not true. Many Mods, myself included are a little more pragmatic. Things that have to go are cuss words, nude photos, name calling of another member and political content that slams a person or party but not a discussion of an issue that effects us. Opinions in these areas are a gray area in which I normally report the post and let all of the mods weigh in on.
*Oh and one thing I always watch for is items that are reposted from a company website that are copyrighted, or information that is posted with a specific name attached to them. Ya know, the stuff that is not designed to be here.

As always you can report a post and it pops up in the moderator forums for the 13 different moderators to 1) weigh in on, or 2) Moderate said post.

The biggest difference between the two sick leaves policies was that at NWA there was an incentive to NOT abuse sick leave while at Delta the "use it or lose it" policy encourages it.
