Because I realized how many would actually agree with the statement, and send me PM's and e-mails to tell me they had noticed the same thing.

I'm saving it for an even better post about the correlation between slight speech impediments and ALPA leadership positions.

It's a consssspiracy.

Capn's comments about "never" going to the ALPA site and then calling out anyone "except PG" to PM with factual information leads me to designate him the official:

It will not be awarded daily, and on occasion I may even have to award it to myself (maybe a few days late after realizing what I had previously posted), but it will always be available as a prize to those who have distinguished themselves.

*Disclosure: I have had a few tonight, and if I judge that it was an unfair award, I will follow through and award it to myself. Good night.

Sometimes a post requires a bit of ...recovery time, as the recipient of the award has a camomille tea, a hot bath with candles, then cries itself sofly to sleep in the fetal position. And everyone else is left to clean up their screens of milk, beer, and whatever else they were consuming.

Brilliant!

To all my L+G douchy bruthas, try to keep it less douchy on here. Douchiness has been discovered and will be exposed. Even more than the high level of douchebaggetaciousness on the DPA thread, the SWA/AAI windfall thread is overflowing with solid douchinsky's.

That was my point in bringing this whole subject up. We all read the same thing and come out with different interpretations depending on which side of the "fence" you are on.

You don't get to work on behalf of the DAL south guys if this happens Denny. With your record, that would just be unfair!!

Well, I think my mad cow was alive and well with the "opinion" I had. I re-read the SLI quote I posted and it's plain as day if any 777's are replacements for 787's then all positions go to the northside. DOH!:o

With the reading comprehension I currently seem to have, you might want to revise your above opinion! Gosh! I miss that show!:(

Too aggresive, I think. Maybe something more Enya or Yanni, or maybe one of those nature sounds cd's found with the pot pourri at Target.

5. Should the merged company take delivery of any aircraft which is/are a replacement of any aircraft covered by Paragraph 4., the captain positions and, as applicable, the first officer positions on each such replacement aircraft will be allocated in accordance with the Paragraph 4. restrictions on the type it is replacing.

Paragraph 4 is the actual fence paragraph of the award on the 777's, 747's, and 787's. As far as replacing 330's with 744's, there is nothing specific in the arbitrated decision that I could see. I'm sure it would go to the arbitrator. I was just giving my opinon and we all know what they are like!!:D

I am so confused. Your first paragraph in this post says that Replacement aircraft would be open for all to bid. Now you say they are not. I apologize if I am reading this wrong as I have not had my (Irish) coffee yet.

Sorry maddog, I read my own quote wrong. Here is what Denny meant to say.....(IMO) If a 777 comes to Delta that is specifically a replacement aircraft for a delayed 787 then all positions on it would/should go to the northside. Key word there is replacement. Any 777 orders that are not replacement would go to the southside.

As far as 330's being replaced by 744's, I think an argument could be made that all pilots should be able to bid those aircraft since we can all bid the 330 now. Again, the key word there is replaced. I really, really don't see this happening. I think the company is happy to keep the "status quo" as much as possible with regards to fenced widebody aircraft.

Sorry for the confusion.:o

Denny
