Take the time to read all of this chart. It has total pilot salaries etc on the bottom. We can look at a third parties numbers.

Some nice data that you have thrown out there. What is your analysis of all this data?

Maybe, if Boeing took its cues from the likes of airlinepilotforums.com they could design a 797 that was less puffer fish and something more appealing...

And in the end the airplane would look, well, a lot like:

Can I get an amen from the Reverend Newk and my Fly Dc Jets choir that the boys at Long Beach got it right? Eons ago. Thanks you Seattle hippies, bout time you saw the light. Oh wait, that's right, you want a puffer fish... maybe that can be the first UAV airliner?

Hey, question on profit sharing I just started looking into today...
I'm a long-term mil leave guy, 9.5 years on the books.
From the Dal.alpa website contract administration 11-01 they told us to look in to see who is eligible and what pay is eligible,:

Pilot goes on approved military leave:
 Payout will be based on actual calendar year earnings plus assumed earnings representing the leave period
 Assumed earnings will be based on the amount of pay a pilot would have been paid if working his or her Delta job

.... so, what is the "amount of pay I would have been paid if working my Delta job"? I guess this is, what is the guaranteed reserve pay, and what pay-rate do I get? My last jet was a 727... so is it whatever I could hold? I can hold 7ERJB line in NYC with 9 years pay scale?

Heard a rumor today that CVG was going to be down to 7-9 mainline departures per day by this time next year...

Anyone else?

That number seems way too small. Although the odds of base closure seem more likely than not, 9 just doesn't make sense when you look at where the mainline flights are to currently. Flights that could easily have been pulled in the last two years but have survived.

Count the seats in that diagram, its got DCI written all over it. :o

Amen. I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves her. Simple, dependable, cute and sassy - does what's expected without a lot of fuss. Not the prom queen, but I'm happy to be seen with her. We have a solid relationship. :)

I don't equate your picture to her though - need more of a wholesome, mid-west, girl-next-door look (this is your opportunity to shine ;)).

The puffer fish looks to hold about 90 pax. Maybe they will stretch it someday into something that resembles a 767.
