Don't need to think twice about the following statement from DALPA:

"The pilots of Delta Air Lines will accept nothing less than C2K restoration as the minimum starting point for negotiations. Further, the pilots of Delta Air Lines will accept nothing less than the reversing of pilot job outsourcing to regional airlines and joint ventures."

A statement like that clearly sets the minimum. Upward movement from the minimum will be based on conditions at the time. The fact that there is no such statement is telling. The fact that current polling is designed to ask about the DPA (an organization with 1500 cards) is even more telling.

I wish people would start asking: "When are you going to ask me about my priorities for the next contract?"

I haven't but you could try:

1. Menu-settings-wireless networks-wi-fi settings-Menu-Advanced- wifi sleep policy=never, also

2. Airplane mode on then toggle wifi on.

Sometimes if the phone sleeps and wifi goes idle it won't turn back on when the phone wakes.

X day move question

PCS denied an X day move because it would have created a 7 day block of reserve days and therefore the potential for a 24 in 7 break requirement. Can they do that? My schedule already has an 8 day block of on call days later in the month, so it was OK when they awarded the lines in PBS. Does PCS have different rules? I didn't find anything in the PWA preventing it.

If The Carl bid the 88 he'd be denied. They can't risk what could happen to the new hires. Same with Ferd.

I ran into the same issue last month. The way scheduling explained it when I called is that during the initial line build, IOW when PBS builds your initial reserve line, it can go past 6 consecutive reserve days. However, once your line is build, you can't trade to go above six days. He mentioned it was a contractual thing. It wasn't that important to me, so I didn't pursue it.

We asked the company to be allowed to create longer blocks in the initial bidding process. They agreed to allow the change. They still will not allow you to swap to longer blocks.
