Neither BOS nor SEA have 100 departures/day or are defined as "hubs" in the PWA in fact Section 1 specifically excludes SEA from ever having hub status...

On your next trip look at the route map in Sky Magazine...
lots of green (AS) flying on the map

I've been gone awhile... Are we getting any "new" airplanes?

Fairly new to this forum, but I got the call and a feeling of concern definitely came across when I answered "yes" I am familiar with DPA.

As a newby on APC I want to party with Carl

Can anybody tell me what the code P under reason means when looking at daily trip coverage in open time?

Thanks

It means they covered the trip with a recovery pilot, whether it be because he was pulled from his original trip for OE or due to IROPS.

Should have answered the phone, "Spackler here. It's your nickel. Start talking."

"Click." :)

Did you get the impression from these questions that ALPA national is concerned about DPA?

I got the impression they were looking for ways to counter DPA. They asked things like, "what are negatives of DPA" and questions along the lines of how do you think DPA would do negotiating the next contract. Also, does ALPA national's resources help DALPA when negotiating a new contract. I may be paraphrasing some of the questions, but probably half of the Qs were about DPA.

I don't either, especially since the top categories' payrates are out of whack wrt the rest of the group... <10% of the pilots are making 12% of the payroll.... Either the fleet needs to be rationalized.. with a review with every purchase (pipe dream I know) or we need longevity pay....
