Great. Thanks for the quick reply and info.

Oh yeah, UCAL will have 74 777s and 26 747's and they are pretty serious about holding the line on RJs. That's alot of brass bands to meet the planes.
Geez, I might be old but my math says 8 777ER's plus 10 777LR's equals 18. I still agree with the gist of your post just not the math.

Should take less time. There were more total captain credit hours flown in January 2011 than January 2010.

And don't forget about when he compared us to janitors.

And this wasn't necessarily in his testimony... but don't forget about labeling our potential strike a "murder/suicide"... and then the whole turning the other employees against us thing. I could never have imagined that anyone could have such a complete lack of respect for what we do.

That was a very dark time and I'm glad it's behind us. The attitude towards us by the other employees was absolutely appalling. By far the worst thing I think I've ever seen in all of my career. I hope none of us ever see anything like that again. EVER.

So if the 60 CRJs and 26 Saabs were being flown by mainline there wouldn't be any furloughs when those 82 aircraft are parked in the next 18 months?

CMR had 113 RJs in '08 in the next 18 months they'll be down to something like 44. No furloughs?

I agree that every seat is worthwhile, but I suspect that the parking of so many aircraft would result in furloughs, whether they were flown by mainline or not.

Lets get the ability to have pay and credit, or pay only at the pilots discretion.
