Not sure what you are seeing with the first question. They don't use bank hours to pay green slips. Its possible you may have to use bank hours to get up to the GS trigger if you are short for the month but that is a transaction initiated by you.
In your second scenario -- you are correct.
Its a good deal to bank some hours at a low pay rate and withdraw them at a higher rate. Advanced entitlements is another good opportunity to do this. Fill your bank just before you upgrade.

Scoop
OK, just one more torpedo of truth. In buzzpat's honor.
Yep. That ranks up there.
Aren't they making a new Red Dawn with China?
You know china can be brought down really easily, just export liberalism. When I went to AMM and turned on the tv the only American station I found was MTV. I couldn't blame the world for hating us if all they ever saw from us was MTV.
Hell, the only thing MTV has ever produced that I found entertaining and funny was the Real World parody by Dave Chappelle... oh wait, that wasn't MTV.
No that wasn't it, you can see the carpet in the background in the picture and you know at that locale you can't see the floor unless you look straight down.

I filled my bank up on 1st year pay and took it out on 2nd and 3rd year pay. If you need to get 80 or so hours of credit each month to make your budget work (which most probably do on 2nd year pay) you have a tough time getting it all out because you can only "fill up" so much. If you do 80 hours per month you can usually take out 5-7 per month so it takes about the whole year to get it out. If you do 85 hours per month you won't be able to take out much if any depending on the ALV for the month.

Wheee, ATT strikes again
AT&T to Uncripple Atrix, Inspire '4G' Upstream Capabilities
April Software Patch Will Deliver HSUPA Functionality
by Karl Bode
AT&T recently found themselves on the receiving end of some "4G" angst when customers realized that two of the smartphones the carrier proclaims are "4G" weren't able to upload at 4G speeds. While AT&T wasn't clear when asked why, AT&T responses to Better Business Bureau complaints indicated that the HSUPA capabilities of these phones had been intentionally crippled. Whatever the reason, AT&T has informed users on Facebook that the company will be issuing a software update in April that will deliver HSUPA capabilities to both the Atrix and the Inspire. AT&T also says their upcoming Android-based Samsung Infuse "4G" will come with HSUPA enabled out of the gate.

About the IT.
It was explained to me the other day that if you look at a department that deals with HVCs (and I won't name names) but they right now have a need to do something that would make life a lot easier for our customers to accomplish their goals on our website. A simple pull down menu on the website is basically what they need.
In 1 year they'll get that simple fix implemented by IT.
That's the backlog. Told my wife that and she said that's how it was at AT&T/Bellsouth, if a problem was found for the customer and you wanted the website updated and corrected it could take months to over a year. Maybe sometimes that is why our best thought out solutions fall on deaf ears because people have already fought that battle and lost.
It was also explained if IT could hire people that would help a lot. But I guess there is a freeze?
As to the IT, it is my understanding what you're looking at is not Delta's stuff but NWA.

Regarding hiring by IT - my son applied for a network security engineer position several weeks ago. He was called for an interview within a week. They stated that there were over 160 applicants for the position. He was offered the job shortly after the interview but the salary offer was $10k less than his currently job with GD. Reminds me of what happens when pilot salaries plummet. He hasn't accepted the position yet and they are still evaluating the salary offer.
There are so many improvements needed in IT!!
Wow, I can identify with these comments. So much that needs to be changed with IT. Regarding check in functions of kiosks, it would be nice if you could dependably check in as a NR on the kiosk. I have repeated problems with the kiosk bouncing back to the start once I get to the pass classification choice. Check in as a crew member has gotten better but there is a long way to go.

One of those isn't real, but should be.

I swear, you have genuine talent that you are wasting on this forum. Of course, Delta probably does not have use for your "humor" either
