Thanks for quick answers guys... been busting my tail every day thru ATL... many last minute gate changes... another question ...is it best to have the F/O call when off the runway to check on gate status? I frequently enter the ramp and the gate has been changed and we haven't been told! Thanks, BV

They aren't even talking about getting rid of the mortgage deduction... If I were President though.. it would be gone.. after I instituted a 10% flat tax on ALL earnings...

TAX FORM:
1) How much did you make last year? ________________
2) Multiply by .1
3) Attach your check here ------------->

But it would have to come with a Constitutional amendment, because the 537 idiots in DC are so incompetent that they wouldn't be able to resist the urge to start dipping into it again....

In ATL check the ACARS for a message. They will send a non-chimed message for a gate change once the "ON" time is transmitted via ACARS. It will just be a blinking message. Select it and it will show a new gate.

Also I do not make any gate keeper or other non-essential calls until I cross all runways, active or not. ATL tower knows your "planned" gate and if you give an incorrect ramp from what they have they will query you to call ops.

Works well when it is working.

Would make tax season a lot easier. I figure they can get away with 15% but will annex anyone under 20K from paying for political reasons.

Well of course they would. That is what makes DC.. well... DC. 10%... 15%.. we could discuss those numbers all day, but my point is that the elected dumbasses would never allow it anyway any more than they would do the right thing and vote in term limits. But hey.. we have the best government money can buy.... donate to ALPA PAC... right??

Yep, it is the best, but that does not mean we cannot improve upon the existing structure by modifying it, not blowing it up and starting over for the sake thereof.

It worked for Japan and Germany in the 40s and 50s.

The country long term would be so much better off if you're taxes were not deducted from your paycheck and you had to scribble out a check out of your own savings account. That would get a lot of attention.

I'm all for a flat tax and I'm sure those who like to guide personal behavior via the tax system, plus thousands upon now new thousands of IRS auditors would be against it, but I'm really sure the people who build these would be against it just as much the non tax paying GE....

but so be it.

Have you ever watched Holmes on Homes or Holmes Inspection? Sometimes the existing structure isn't capable of supporting the changes and a bulldozer is the correct answer - although I like the way you think with the explosives.

Explosively blowing it up would be more satisfying and certainly more showy!!

Or you let Newk take out T3...

As to Holmes on Holmes, man is that guy an education. I believe 99% of homes built need to be blown to bits. Or at least in Canada?

It's kind of depressing watching that show in a way. I mean really, one sheet of plastic between your home and brick stair case is the difference between having great stairs that last forever and stairs the crack. Yeah, there is no telling what would happen if you opened up the door.
