Isnt he relaying his actual experience?

How about the MEC treasurer publish the FPL data and all of the rest of the information...as required by resolution.

I am making out with ALPA right now. Are you jealous PG?

Do you honestly think the "home 'drome" is not going to get a crack at every cherry destination the 330 already serves? (not to mention the ones that will be taken from the ATL7ER.)

If the 330 moves into ATL, it will be interesting to watch the feeding frenzy of guys trying to get on it, and the unintended consequences of the ensuing backfill and displacements. Wonder how many of those "I'll never fly an Airbus" guys will change their minds?

Could be tough for the guys in SEA that were surprised they got the SEA 7ER award. Hopefully not for Denny Crane, of course.

Thank's 'dude!!:) IF the Atl 330 base is established and IF the time comes out of SEA then it depends on how much time is removed and whether any guys follow the plane. I feel fairly safe right now. Too many questions to worry about it now.

The question is how is the staffing in SEA and say DTW on the 330? If staffing is low couldn't they move flying to ATL with a minimal draw down if any in those bases?

Denny,

Don't worry. Next week the rumor will be that SEA is doubling in size and that the 787 will be there next fall.

I'm starting to catch on. :)

That's a great question.

When you say making out, just in case I've missed something on like the DPA thread or something, do you mean, making out?

http://ventswap.com/images/dog_making_out.jpg

Because if you're making out with ALPA, well, that just reminds me of something a Alba... Gawga Dog fan might know a thing or two about...

Go Dogs, sick em', arf arf arf.... OH @#%*! Is that Nick Fairley? RUN! :D

Yeap. Tar and feather me. Or do an images.google.com search for "making out", there's stuff there that will make up for this fish thing.

Only an Auburn guy would have access to photos of bestiality. Did you take those after the Sigma Nu party your freshman year?

I distinctly remember starting to write Alabama and stopping to scribble out the University of Gawga because we don't need to bring this fight into the halls of Any Latest and Greatest About Delta?

We can keep those fights where they belong, in hijacked SWA/AAI threads.

Speaking of Alabama and Tuscaloosa, here's pics of the tornado's track from Friday. I circled the stadium to show the proximity to the campus which makes you think about what would've happened if a place with a population density like that of a campus dorm or classroom had been hit directly by a mile wide tornado how much worse this 300+ killer storm day could've been.

As a former COO of a large multi-million dollar corporation (during my furlough days), I understand full well the requirements of holding conferences and meetings and the associated costs.

But here's the rub, we are paying them to represent us. No right-thinking airline pilot would spend $175 a day to fly the line. Here's what I propose: I support ALPA but based on what I know so far with their expenditures, this is not good. I don't begrudge a guy having a few drinks and staying in a nice hotel. But, their constituents are staying in lesser hotels and living on $30 a day. That's my issue. It's the perception. Might not be the reality, but its the perception. And based on what I read on the financials, it stinks.

Glad you love me! :D

Perception does become reality when it is not refuted, and we both agree that preception on many fronts seems to be the reality that the line pilot sees. I agree ALPA (National and DALPA) need to better explain the "why's" of many items that currently bother their constituents. FPL, and Expenditures, Mainline v Regional at National, and taking a stand on this profession are at the top of the list.

Wrt to the MEC Meetings, I have the same perception on many of the issues until a few things were shown and explained to me. The cost is still high, and I understand the rub guys have. Can we do better? I do not know, but it is worth looking in to if the pilots deem it necessary. I do not want to wastefully spend money just like the next guy, but I am also I the mindset that both for the union and the corporation we work for, sometimes you need to sped money to make money. That goes for labor as well as infrastructure costs.
