Dang, I was feeling pretty good about myself until I saw that SWA welcome package. Now I hate my life.

Remember 80? Blood and guts everywhere...

No shizzle. Its bloody. Double CONUS DH's to cover NYC trips, scant reserve coverage, even the schedulers feel ****ty when they call. That's why I'm doing my homework. "Hello Robert, we have this sweet rotation for you tomorrow morning with a 0500 sign in at Orange County. We know your on vacation but please acknowledge."

Yea, we suck. If anybody trys to sell me on skyrocketing fuel prices or we didn't cook the books right and a 4% increase in pay is a win in 2012 I will barf.

I just read that too. That is a nice welcome package. Time to step it up without excuses.

Ditto. We have a lot of work to do. This needs to be circulated to the membership prior to any votes, so we have a frame of reference of what's rational in our industry.

This should be a starting point.

Hourly payrate is NOT the only thing that matters. I like the part where the average days off is 17/month, and a 3 day is worth 19.5 hours.

^^^^^Yep. If SWA can do it, we sure as hell can do it.

Woah!

Apparently, at some point in the last 10 years the Southwest kool-aid has been turned into Don Perignon.

.......While we have been fed Ripple and Colt 45.
