I should know the answer to this but I don't and I'm away from the PWA. Can you GS on vacation? Thanks in advance.

Yes, they can. However, if they schedule you over an X day you'll get a PB. For May, they finally got my IOE and TOEs scheduled and looks like they tried very hard to work around my X days, but I ended up getting on PB for the last day on my last scheduled TOE.

Now having said that, the real answer will be something like "it depends". I think they finally realized their scheduling mistakes and are trying to get more of the elephant through the snake.

Good luck, when did you finish training? For reference, I finished mid-Feb.

Thanks, I finished apr 11. You NYC ER?

No, because a widebody guy can bid non domestic trips that exceed 30 in 7. Even widebody/intl pilots can only exceed alv window during pbs by bidding a large spillover trip into a following mont with lots of vacation. A narrowbody pilot can't do that unless you have probably 3 weeks of vacation and a trip with all but one day as spill.

The scenario you describe would be a ws pickup after the month starts and I believe subject to alv+15 with vacation pay/no credit and would depend on open time being available on the right days and right amount of credit. Intl just needs one trip with a big spill value during pbs. Its theoretically possiblee to get over 130 hrs using spill and 3 weeks of vacation on intl working 10 days, maybe less but it would be hard to do.

The two factors are pbs cannot?/does not look ahead into the following month at vacation credit for alv purposes and domestic only pilots don't have huge spill rotations due to 30 in 7:

If available you can pick up off the swap board & that's not subject to max p/u.

Not JFK, DTW. Enjoy your time off.

You'll know something is cooking on your IOE when you see them change a couple of days to IOE. Then you should get a phone call within a day or so of that happening with the details.

True but domestic would still be subject to 30 in 7.
