Here are the steps to a free night in Vegas (also known to work at Disney World):

(1) Find your hat
(2) Stop by the Chief Pilot's Office (any base will do for Vegas, but bonus points for Capt. W.S.) Pick up a hand full of business cards. Put these in your wallet.
(3) Find a fat chick at the Vegas airport
(4) Spend the night with fat chick, be sure to hand her the Chief Pilot's card (or just leave it on the night stand, she'll find it)

Both you and her will have the time of your lives, with the added benefit of knowing she will call, repeatedly. The Chief pilot will have to explain he knows nothing about meeting some girl in Vegas. No one will believe the Chief Pilot's story, which kind of makes it even with all the stories he hears from line pilots that he does not believe.

Bar;

I like the way you think, but suspect your plan, if followed to a T, would not work for Brocc15...not that there's anything wrong with that...:D

It would probably be a lot easier for HER to get a free room. Not that she would, of course.

Nu

Yeah, this is absolutely the wrong forum.

He should have asked the question on the van and cab drivers forum.

Some of you people are stuck on stupid about "security"

Great Post.

Chump is the perfect word for it, King. That's exactly what I feel like when I hear guys talking or writing about how good our relationship is with management. It's also how I feel when I find myself eyeballing some extra flying on my days off. I know, you do what you have to do, but we hurt ourselves so bad with all the scrambling for extra flying around here.

Jiminmem,

I also have been looking for something to replace both my flight kit and my two snap duffel that clips onto my Luggage works roll-aboard.

At first I thought I could get by with just the duffel - but when I put all the stuff in it that used to go into my flight kit, it did not work too good.

Then I tired a case logic TSA friendly back-pack. This is good because you can leave a laptop inside through security - again not enough room.

Now I am using a travel pro bag (bought at the DTW stopover store) that works really well. I think this is the same one that a lot of FA's use. Generally more room then the backpack and the mini duffel, and you can carry it via the roll-aboard hook or just ride it on top of the roll-abroad strapped to the handles. It is not a perfect solution but the best one that I have found so far, short of taking two separate smaller bags. Tons of compartments for headset, glasses, flashlights, emergency rations etc.

Note - I fly the 737N (Bag -Killer) so I have to leave my roll-aboard in the forward closet. This means that everything that I need access to must be in my smaller bag. If you are on an aircraft designed for two or more human beings in the flight deck, and thus have access to your roll-aboard, you might be able to get by with the small two snap duffel. I also need a laptop for my reserve gig so that complicates matters also.

Hope this helps - Scoop :)

Its not so much the security aspect, but can you imagine all the groupies, hookers and *****s we'd have waiting for us every time our van pulled up if our hotels were known? Oh, the humanity.

I've always hated that proposition.

I'm glad George Washington, John Adams and the rest of the Framers didn't take similar advice. ;)

Fixed your post. Interesting that you cited the Framers as a source to back your argument when it was they that left England because "England and the King sucked"..... But I will give you credit for the rally around making change.. this isn't the place for THAT however....

Frankly I don't care how he personally feels about Delta because there is nothing I can do or say that will change his.. or your for that matter.. mind. I just think it's sad that his life revolves around an entity that he despises. (Here comes the "my life doesn't revolve around Delta" comment... but you know what I mean) Everybody on the seniority is a proven intelligent human being, and if this place is so distasteful, you have the resources between your ears to go somewhere else and find a job that you might find more enjoyable.

... or you can go on an anonymous web board and ***** about it...
