The interpretation of a PWA violation by RAH is gaining traction.
RAH apparently is getting worried about this:
Republic Tried (And Failed) To Postpone Pilot Union Election Tally - Things in the Sky
write your reps, ask them specifically to read the definition of the term domestic carrier in the PWA.
(Hint: “air carrier” means a citizen of the United States undertaking by any means, directly or indirectly, to provide air transportation.)
Here is the key: the NMB found RAH to be a single transportation system for pilot representation purposes. Sure we cant use that ruling, but that doesn't mean that their published findings are invalid.
In other words -- in order to rule STS the NMB had to investigate RAH and has published the "evidence". All we have to do is use the already established "evidence" to bring our case.
Why any of this matters?
If we don't defend the contract we have, what else is there to defend?
Cheers
George
RAH apparently is getting worried about this:
Before the scheduled tally of the votes, NMB documents indicate that Republic had requested the NMB to “postpone the tally scheduled for June 27, 2011 while it considers whether a corporate restructuring and planned divestiture of majority ownership of Frontier Airlines, Inc. (Frontier) affects the Board’s determination that Frontier is part of the single transportation system with the RAH operating subsidiaries.”
Republic held that the situation had changed now that it had entered into a new labor agreement with FAPA. As part of this deal, Republic agreed to changes including an agreement to “further separate the Frontier management structure to include appointing a separate Frontier Chief Operating Officer and an independent Director of Labor Relations for Frontier” and also had also “agreed to divest itself of its majority equity stake in Frontier no later than December 31, 2014, after which a separate Frontier Board of Directors would be established.

Ya'll are just tilting at windmills. There is no hidden agenda going on wrt to the negotiating committee. RAH is doing everything legally. Our scope section is ironclad. ALPAs lawyers are better than the best in the business, they wrote the textbooks that the best learn from. Crewpass is here. ALPA is the most powerful labor force on the hill. SWA pilots never were any good, thats why they dont work at DAL.
Doesnt this all sound weird coming from me?

Here are my predictions:
You will see two guys initials RH and BF run for negotiating committee. You may remember RH as the one storming out of the room when he was NOT elected chairman of a certain committee, sending the minions (defined as guys on ALPA trip drops with no title in the union) scurrying out of the room to develop a hasty contingency plan when the MEC threw them a curve ball. That left RH jobless, and BF is a rep without a council. I find it fascinating that the predominant argument against the donut crowd is "don't upset the balance so close to section 6", yet that is exactly what we are about to do.

Here's another clue. Lee Moak is gone from DALPA. His alledged hypnotic powers are gone too; unless he is able to hypnotize TO who in turn is able to hypnotize the entire MEC into getting his wishes. Seems pretty far fetched to me.

PG, never met TO. Never met LM. Don't know the system. That said I would say if a Governor goes to the President's office is it far fetched to believe those left behind would like to go to D.C. too?

PG,
What are your thoughts on 3 vs 4 on the NC?

I'm not PG, but this is what I think Hockeypilot44 would say:
It is after a double major on one player from team A ad one from team B for fighting that was caused by a player on team A hooking or high-sticking....
It'll be like that for a couple of minutes and then it will be 4 vs 4 for the remaining 6 minutes!
