Quote: Keep doing that and you won't be around long enough to see DPA come to fruition. Thanks for seniority number!!!!
Well it does help provide motivation to keep running!
Quote: Nice job! How old are you?

It's sad to see a group of grown men engage in such catty behavior, all over jealously and envy. Channel that anger into your negotiators, and you might actually get a contract you can be proud of. Or there's the alternative: what your doing now.

Grow up.
Maybe we ought to review the anti-Delta pilot posting history of yours. You're not one of the guys that failed flow are you?

Glass houses and all.

I'm not SWA and I like to taxi faster than a slow walk.
Grow up.
YOU??-->Taxi faster than a slow walk??? You are breaking some reg. someplace, I guarantee it. Are you whistleblowing on yourself?

Grow up? He is, he takes his time and is not in a RUSH. I would much rather be a passenger on an airplane where the pilots take their time. Besides, he is right, the aviation world does not sync their watches to SWA time (those dudes taxi way too fast and are always in a rush).

Just because you want to waste time and gas doesn't mean the rest of us want to. I'm not SWA and I like to taxi faster than a slow walk.

Or you could grow up and stop being judge-mental on something you know nothing about. Taxiing slower and SE saves gas, both things SWA don't do. As far as the 'jealously & envy' go there isn't any of that. I had every opportunity to apply to SWA and didn't. Stop assuming everyone is envious of SWA, & stop lashing out at everyone who dare insults your almighty SWA.

Talk about being childish. Pot, meet kettle.

Welcome to ATL. I am on the South side and about as far South as you can get and still be considered local!

They do use the SC pilots a lot more in ATL than other bases. We are that proverbial accumulator.
Quote: After reading Dickson's upbeat email today, can we expect another AE soon?
I was told very early Sept. The guys over at CPS are getting excited since they are hiring six LCA's and there are six LCA's in the next 60 to flow.

Did you apply to Delta? Where you turned down? Im sorry.

Its obvious, he is the jealous and envious one.

Awesome! Congrats and enjoy!
Quote: They have been doing that a lot lately. Their lack of anger seems to indicate to me that they knew what they were up to. A scheduler can AKC for you, and because of that, they could have sworn they called you.

I always check my sked right when I start SC, and then one minute later so I can get a screen shot with the time stamp on it. I also take a screen shot of the coverage list.
ACL,

I haven't been around all that long and all but it does say in the PWA

23 S. 9 e.

A Short Call Pilot:

e. will not be assigned a rotation without an attempted contact by Crew Scheduling.

Checking our schedules at start time seems like the whole give them an inch concept
Quote: Actual conversation this morning with scheduling:

Me: Hi, this is DAL 88 Driver, employee #XXXXXX. (no, I used my real name... he probably would have REALLY been confused if I used DAL 88 Driver and I was a DC-9 pilot ) I'm your short call this morning. I'm staying at a hotel 5 minutes from the airport and wanted to let you know I'm going out for a run. I'll be gone about 40 minutes... so if you need me for something, just leave a message and I'll check my phone as soon as I get back in the room. I can be over to the airport very quickly after that.

Scheduler: [rambles a bit leading me to believe he doesn't quite have the gist of what I'm trying to tell him]

Me: Well, I just didn't want you to panic if you tried to call and I didn't answer my phone. If you need me to fly, I can be there very quickly... even if it takes me a few minutes to call you back.

Scheduler: Oh, I never panic. If you don't call me back within 30 minutes, I just take the trip off your line and turn the matter over to your Chief Pilot.

Me: Well, that's kinda the whole point of why I'm calling you. If you call 5 minutes after I walk out of the room to go run, it might take me slightly longer than 30 minutes to call you back, but I can make it to the airport to do any flying you need very quickly as this hotel is only 5 minutes away from the airport.

Scheduler: Okay. I can remember that you're close.

Be careful out there, folks. The mentality in scheduling these days does not seem to be what us "south" guys have been used to.
SO, did CP call you because you told the scheduler you didn't feel like answering your phone in time per the contract?
