And if RA said that we should turn around and say 4-5 more sims is probably less than a 20% raise.

No thanks, sir. How about we hire executives that can actually run an airline instead. It was nice of you to offer 20% higher than SWA parity, but don't forget parity comes with scope too. 20% is barely 2 years worth of compounded inflation anyway, so whatevs dood.

We'll not lose market share. You'll lose market share and I'll grow my market share.

Since 2000, they've decreased our market share as Delta pilots by nearly 50% while increasing Delta's by about 20%.

With scope we share a common interest.

Without scope, we don't.

Win.

No scope relief.

Mandatory scope recapture to some significant degree, domestic, RJ and international, or don't even bother printing Section 3 because it is irrelevant.

That's just too transparent and easy to shoot down. I think if 100 seaters, E190s, comes up it'll be far more craftier and a watch this hand and ignore the other.

Yes, they did that before in the late 90s early 2000s. As a new-hire I did sims in ATL, MIA and SLC. Of course, we also had a plethora of SLIs back then too. That was the best training I had at this airline. As previously stated, they were hiring 90/month and training was much more involved than it is now.

pax,

Last Friday I was in MCO and we called for taxi exiting the ramp area. We were cleared to taxi to 17R. To our right was a SWA 737 taxiing fairly fast on the inner taxiway. Realizing we would slow him down if I chose the inner, we taxiied across and down the outer taxiway instead. My feeling is that was the courteous and professional thing to do.

As we taxied down the outer, ground control said "SWA 756 you'll follow the Delta Airbus to your right, contact tower on frequency xxx.x". (They had called for taxi after us). They did not respond to the transmission. Ground then instructed us to contact tower on the same frequency.

SWA 756 then called tower and announced they were ready for takeoff. Tower rewarded SWA 756 by changing the takeoff order and we had to wait about three extra minutes.

Which crew were courteous and professional, and which were immature?

I had the exact same thing happen in MCO about 6mths ago. Musta been the same crew
