If AMR/B6 and LCC go for it, DAL will go after AS and forget HI. B6 makes a lot of sense for DAL as well, but I would hate to the see the number of slots that would have to be given up to make that work.

AS's stock price needs to go to the mid 40's to make that sucker work.

If Some else goes after AS; B6, that may work to our advantage as well. Just think of how many code share flights we could have out of NYC......:eek:

From what I gather, with the V Australia JV, they will be giving up the LAX-Melbourne route, and we are to pick it up. Also, in our ATI filing we filed for New Zealand as well.

Not worried about my reps in MSP either, it appears its the entire Moak "legacy" crowd above the councils that needs to be recalled. I'm sure as soon as they tell their lemming reps to do so it will happen.

Nice rumor, but the MEC has not given any direction to the Merger Committee. I am sure they speculate like we do, but it is all academic until RA and the board decide to execute a acquisition. The reality is the next one will be a simple case of us buying someone, taking a few things from them, and then handing them the DAL pubs, it will not be a merger.

FWIW, investor call is tomorrow.

B6, AS, or part of UsAir could work well for DAL. Problem with AS is they are freaking expensive!

PG, you have to admit, it did give you a laugh. I know I laughed at it. Heck, it is just plain funny.

I also believe a lot of our group just want ALPA to prove it with an awesome contract, that protects our jobs and futures. Like I have said, almost every pilot I fly with has slightly less distrust for ALPA as they do for our employer.

It may be a sad state of affairs, but it does not change reality.

You suggest recalling reps, but suggesting a recall of the chairman is juvenile? Fact is, as a lot of people see it Moak and his descendants, heirs and supporters are responsible for the DPA phenom. DPA is a bad idea. Changing your union leadership if it's not delivering what the pilots are asking for is not.
